Diane's Colcannon

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2010
We enjoyed this for St. Ptrick's Day, it is a nice dish for when you want potatoes and cabbage. The bacon gives the dish a nice flavor, very different from regular mashed potatoes.

Laura's Quick Slow Cooker Turkey Chili

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2010
This was an easy and good chili, it was a bit on the spicy side for us. I will cut the chili powder down the next time I make this to suit our tastes.

Pineapple Cheesecake Squares

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2010
This was a tasty pineapple treat. One warning though, do not overbake the dessert. I cooked the cheesecake part longer than the recipe called for, because it was not done in the middle. Doing this made the crust very hard, the dessert was more like a cookie bar than cheesecake.

Sorry, but we didn't care for this one. Tried two different times and neither time did it turn out well.

Boston Baked Beans

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2010
The beans have a very nice flavor, but the baking process took two more hours than the recipe called for. I ended up adding more of the sauce and water to finish up the baking.

Honey Wheat Bread II

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2010
This is a very nice bread and excellent toasted the next morning after baking. I ended only using 3 cups of all-purpose flour, the dough was getting stiff while mixing, but I probably added 1 more cup while kneeding the dough. I think it needs a liitle more honey for taste.

Carolyn's Oh-So-Easy Cherry Cobbler

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2010
This was very easy and nice for a weeknight dessert. The only problem I had was the recipe says it will bake in 25 to 30 minutes, mine took twice that long. Other than that I had no problems and will make again.

E-A-G-L-E-S Swirl Sandwich

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2010
This was a nice treat. It really is not like a sandwich, but more like a calzone. I had to cook mine about ten minutes longer as it was not done in 25 mins. Other than that, it is a quick, easy dish.

Ranch Dressing II

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2010
As wriiten, this recipe is not that great. Instead of being a dressing, it is more like a dip. Very thick and heavy on a dill taste. I am going to try it again by thinning with buttermilk and cutting the dill in half, if not more.

This was fabulous! So easy and it tastes wonderful. I served it as a dip for chicken fingers. Adults and children alike ate it up. Thanks for a great, easy recipe.

Pesto Turkey Burgers

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2010
My husband and I thought these were very good, a nice change from regular beef burgers. Moist and flavorful. I used some of the pesto I had and added it to some mayo with a little garlic. It made a nice spread and gave the burgers an extra zip. The recipe as written deserves five stars.

Peanut Butter Cupcakes

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2010
These were very good peanut butter cupcakes. I think they need just a bit more peanut butter flavor. Topping them with the Rich Chocolate Frosting from this site made them five star cupcakes.

Rich Chocolate Frosting

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2010
This frosting is awesome! I was making peanut butter cupcakes and I needed a chocolate frosting, so I cut the recipe in half and had more than enough to ice 24 cupcakes. My husband wants this icing on his next birthday cake, he said it was so good.

Skillet Rolls

Wonderful recipe! I had no trouble with them rising and they cooked perfectly in my cast iron skillet. Paired with a bowl of homemade soup, it was a nice wholesome supper. Ate the rest for breakfast in the morning with jelly.
