Shrimp and Cheesy Grits with Bacon

Yummy! Hit with the whole family. I used chicken bullion and water since I didn't have broth. Green peppers are not my friend, so they were omitted. I used chopped green onions to replace the chopped onion and it added a lovely color. Also added old bay to the shrimp and a bit of cayenne. Tasted like it was a lot harder work than it was. Love that it's good for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Sausage Spinach Alfredo Lasagna

My first time making any kind of lasagna. It turned out wonderful. My 12 y-o picky eater ate 3 helpings. Leftover were demolished by lunch the next day. I used regular sausage and I think sliced or chopped mushroom would be a yummy addition. I'll definitely be making this again.

Outrageously Buttery Crumb Cake

Good recipe. First time, I tried it in 2 round cake pans, but should have spread into 3. It was still really good for such a simple recipe.

Amazing Italian Lemon Butter Chicken

Wish I had read some of the reviews and tips before I tried this for the first time last night. I spent around an hour and a half making it, but I think slightly pre-cooking the bacon and pre-slicing the chicken would move it along faster. The only modification I made was using tri-color pasta. Love the idea of adding tomatoes and parmesan. The sauce was not as creamy as I would have liked, so I might add more cream next time. Amazing to have an Italian dish with no garlic, but it was so flavorful, never missed it.
