Spaghetti Sauce with Ground Beef

This is almost the same recipe I have been making for 40 plus yrs.. The difference is I don't put diced tomatoes or tomato paste. I only use tomato sauce and I add canned mushrooms (buttons). Also use 2 llbs ground chuck. As far as the spices go I only use oregano, but that is because we don't care for basil. This is a basic recipe that is easy to make your own.

Supreme Scalloped Potatoes

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

I gave this only four stars, because as it was I thought it needed something else. So when I reheated the leftover soup the next day, I added some cheddar cheese & we liked it even better. It is very good soup,even without the cheese. I also used half milk & half fat free half & half.

Best Fried Green Tomatoes

This was my first attempt at this. My husband has wanted me to make them for a long time now. He loved them, but I wasn't especially fond of them. I think I would like them better without the cornmeal & just use flour. But he loved them, so thats all that mattered.

Restaurant Style Chicken Nachos

I made these last night & they are wonderful. I did add a half pkg. of taco seasoning when I mixed it all in the skillet. Really yummy. We had lettuce & sour cream on top.

Unbelievable Chicken

This was absolutely wonderful. I cut it in strips & served it on Spinach Salad. My guests loved it & so did my husband & I. I highly recommend this recipe. Its the best.

Buttermilk Chess Pie

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

This was a great recipe. I can't stand it when people change everything & then rate it, but I have to admit I changed only one thing. I didn't put the beer in, I used chicken broth instead. It was wonderful. We loved it & I will definitely be making this again. Thanks for sharing the recipe Patti.

Cake Balls

These were delicious, but difficult to dip. I had a very hard time trying to dip them in the chocolate. I made Red Velvet cake & did the cream cheese frosting, then dipped them in white chocolate. They taste wonderful, but they really don't look very pretty. I don't know what I did wrong, but I was disappointed the way they turned out.

Spaghetti Chicken Casserole

I made this for dinner tonight & my husband & I both loved it. I didn't have any wine, so I used chicken broth in place of it. I also added a half cup of whipping cream like another member suggested & it turned out wonderful. I also sauted the onion & green pepper & added a tablespoon of chopped garlic. This is definitely a keeper.

Red Slush Punch

This was wonderful. I had lots of compliments on it. I made it for my husband's retirement party. The one thing to remember is to take it out of the freezer several hours before you put it in the punch bowl. Otherwise it will take forever for it to get slushy.

Sorta Salisbury Steak

This was absolutely wonderful! My husband loved it & so did I. I did add a small can of mushrooms & right before I served it I thickened the gravy a littl with some cornstarch & water. It was really delicious.

I don't know if it was something I did wrong or what, but I did not care for this. The flavor of the broth was wonderful, but the noodles were not good. It might have been me, I don't know. Sorry! A. Bennett
