Artichoke Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2014
Added a good helping of crushed garlic, chopped mushrooms, did 1/2 mayo and 1/2 sour cream, and added bread crumbs to the top. Went well with egg noodles although penne would be better. Reminded me of beef stroganoff - only with chicken. Delightful!

Beef Stew VI

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2014
Did the "shake the bag baby" trick. Browned meat up in the skillet & deglazed with red wine. Added 3 cans low sodium beef broth, simmered 1 hour, added 1 more can with all the veggies. DELISH

Fluffy Pancakes

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2014
We have enjoyed this recipe for years! It's always a big hit, especially for company brunch. We recently tried putting sliced bananas on top of the pancake while the first side is cooking. It tastes fantastic & to keep it from sticking to the griddle sprinkle on some oats. LOVE LOVE

Added balsamic vinegar & roasted for 20 minutes at 425. Never thought I would devour brussel sprouts, now I do.

Doubled the gravy mix but only used half anyway, was the right consistency for us.

Sylvia's Ribs

Great base recipe. You can add to it or leave out to your taste. We skipped the sugar, lemon juice, hot sauce and steak sauce and it still tasted great. Pappy's Steak Sauce was perfect for this!

Fresh Strawberry Upside Down Cake

Reviewed: May 18, 2010
I made this as is but it needed a little more to it. I made vanilla pudding using a 6 oz box and then a tub of cool whip. I mixed the two together and then layered the cake between the cool whip/pudding mixture with more strawberries. It was delish!

Heavenly Angel Food Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2009
Maybe I did something wrong but my cake was incredibly dense. It was still very yummy, but not light and fluffy like I was hoping it would be.

Coconut Cream Cake I

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2009
I think this should be called Aloha Cake! What a dream! This cake is wonderful. Next time I think I will use about 8oz of coconut cream (it's really fattening if you read the label) and 1/2 a can of sweetened condensed milk. All of the milk mixture didn't absorb into the cake. I left my cake in a bundt cake pan when pouring 1/2 the milk mixture in and then with the other 1/2 I had flipped the cake over. My whipped cream topping came out weird, maybe I whipped it too long, so I made it with the Cool Whipped Frosting that has a ton of great reviews with the whipped cream I just made. Very good cake! Aloha!

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2009
I made this so many times when I first found the recipe my husband had to tell me that he loved the recipe, but he was tired of blueberries. This is my FAVORITE blueberry muffin recipe. No more Jiffy muffins for us.

Fantastic! It doesn't have that overly-sweet typical pecan pie taste.
