Apple Crisp II
About this Cook
I have been married for 20 years to my wonderful husband Matt. We have 3 children and 3 grandchildren. We love to spend time with family and our past-time is spent riding our Harley's and camping.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook most anything but desserts and baked goods are my favorite thing to make. I have won 1st and 2nd place trophies for my apple pie.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Thanksgiving and christmas are always spent together with either my family or Matt's family. A huge dinner is always a must. I always make the meal for my husband's family and my two sisters and I take turns on my side. My mom was a great cook and always outdid herself for family functions. She died of cancer in 2008 so we are trying to keep up her traditions.
My cooking triumphs
I would have to say that my cooking triumph would have to be winning trophies for my apple pie.
My cooking tragedies
My cooking tragedy would have to be when I was making a cherry pie and it cooked over in the oven filling the house with smoke.

Braised Corned Beef Brisket
Our family loved corned beef and we always make it the traditional way of boiling it. I will never boil it again. This was the best tasting brisket we have ever had. There were no left overs for sandwiches or anything! I made it for St. Patrick's Day and it's a couple of weeks later and we have one in the oven again right now. I can't wait to eat! Thank you so very much for sharing this recipe! A new favorite in our house!!

Fried Cabbage with Bacon, Onion, and Garlic
This was our side dish for supper tonight. I am not a huge "pepper" fan and should have known better than to use a whole teaspoon in this recipe. I will make it again though, we loved it despite the fact of it having too much pepper. I will probably add more bacon next time also. Very tasty. Thanks for sharing.

Best Brownies
Doubled the recipe and used a 9 X 13 pan and they turned out great. Everyone at the Christmas Party loved them. Thank you for sharing.
