Amazing Pork Tenderloin in the Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2008
I made this for Christmas dinner and it was a HUGE HIT!! I followed other readers advise and cut out the soy sauce, however, I followed everything else exactly. The meat was just falling apart, it was so tender and juicy. The flavor combo of red wine, garlic, and onion was fantastic!!

Original Irish Cream

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2006
I made Rum Cream, instead of Irish Cream by replacing the wiskey with Bacardi Coco Rum. It is excellent! Next time I may omit the almond extract, everyone who has tasted it has commented on how "almondy" is tastes. I will also try half and half instead of the heavy cream...it was really rich! Overall, a keeper! Who knew making expensive, famcy liqueurs was this simple?

Always a crowd pleaser, guys especially love this! My husband's friends always request this one and it's funny because they think it is a really complicated and magical recipe! We call them magic bars.

Leftover Turkey Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2006
Can you say COMFORT FOOD? Awesome recipe! I've used corn and chicken instead of the turkey and green beans and it was great both ways. We make this recipe often...love it!

Busy Day Chicken Rice Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2006
I made this for dinner last week and we really liked it. I followed some of the previous reviewers advice and made sure to rinse my rice and I also added some italian bread crumbs. It was not too salty for me, but I have a tendency to like a lot of salt.

Garlic Creamed Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2006
I have a funny story about this recipe...I found it on my very first visit to allrecipes.com a few years ago when I first got married and was trying to learn to cook. I "scaled down" the number of servings from 9 to 4...very handy tool, I might add. When this recipe is scaled down to make 4 servings, it says to add 7/8 of a clove of garlic. Well, I misunderstood that and added 7 or eight cloves of garlic to the dish. I love a lot of garlic, so I didn't mind it, but my poor hubby had to try to choke it down not to hurt my feelings! I ended up throwing out the plastic container I'd stored the leftovers in because I couldn't get the garlic smell out of it. I have made the dish since and we love it...now I put 2 whole cloves in for 4 servings.

This recipe sounds so good, but it didn't turn out for me. Perhaps I did something along the way to screw it up.....

Chocolate Chip Cheese Ball

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2006
What a fun and yummy dessert idea! It was a big hit, but even though I served it with graham cracker sticks and nilla wafers, people mistook it for a typical cheese ball and tried it w/ wheat thins. After they got over the inital shock and realized it was a dessert, they gobbled it up. It tasted just like cookie dough.

Pumpkin Butter

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2006
Fantastic! Great gift idea for fall! If you like pumpkin pie, you'll love this. I used apple cider instead of juice and substituted brown sugar for about 1/2 of the white sugar.

Apple Pie Cider

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2006
I made this lastnight for my husband's birthday party and everyone loved it! I served it warm (kept it hot in the crock pot.) It was perfect on a cold Michigan November night and made the whole house smell incredible. Instead of Everclear, I used Captain Morgan's Spiced Rum and exchanged 1/2 the white sugar with brown sugar. Great Recipe!

Yum-O as Rachael Ray would say!!! We loved it! I was really impressed at how "complicated" it tasted...it really does taste like you slaved away to make it. A keeper for sure!

Beer Margaritas

Reviewed: May 6, 2006
LOVED THIS RECIPE!!! Everyone at my Cinco de Mayo party commented that they went down really smooth and were not very acidic like most margaritas. I think the beer really mellows them down. No one could taste the beer....just said they were the best margaritas they'd ever had!

Classic Spanish Sangria

Reviewed: May 6, 2006
This is the most authentic Sangria I've tasted since a trip to Barcelona my freshman year of college. I LOVED it, but I must admit that my guests did not...I have tons leftover. I think it was too strong for people who are used to drinking an "americanized" version of the drink. A few of my friends mixed it w/ Sprite and enjoyed it that way. Personally, I thought it was wonderful...just be wary if you've got miller light drinking friends. :)

Hot Buttered Rum Batter

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2006
WOW...Amazing! This drink is so rich and such a treat! We've been trying it out mixed with other types of liquor...it is wonderful with coconut rum, amaretto, frangelico, or with no booze at all in coffee or cider. I think this batter is partially responsible for our winter weight gain! So Yummy!
