Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2012
my hubby loved it! I also added some other type of hot sauce that I had in the fridge. So tender, the sauce was yummy too, I served it with rice and vegg on the side. Will def'ly make again!

Marshmallow Crispie Bars

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2012
I sortof guessed at all the measurements - had to finish off 2 bags of marshmallows and start another for this batch of squares, added more butter, and 1 tbsp vanilla, 2 tsp corn syrup, 8 cups rice crispies... they turned out great! I also added some chocolate chips.

Campbell's Kitchen Creamy Pasta Primavera

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2012
very tasty! a little salty for my liking, which could not be helped because it was from the canned soup. I added milk to help take away a bit of the saltiness. I used broccoli, carrots, and peppers. I also added chopped up bacon & chicken. Nice quick & easy recipe to have for those days when there's not much time on hand!

Mom's Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2012
very good! earlier this summer I washed, cut up and froze the zucchini so all I had to do was throw it all together! I also added some nutmeg. I had the loaves in the oven for 60 minutes, but should have had it longer because it fell in and was quite doughy/soggy! :( other than that it was so yummy! (I think that might have happened b/c the zucchini was still very cold, maybe even a little frozen)

Cream of Cauliflower Soup II

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2012
amazing! I changed a bunch of things though: added the stems of some broccoli heads, put 1/4 tsp nutmeg (not 1/8), used baby carrots instead of regular carrots, used 2 cloves fresh minced garlic, did not add salt, and instead of chicken broth I used one chicken bouillon square. At the end I added sharp cheddar cheese to taste. Don't worry too much about chopping up the veggies, just throw them in and let them boil/soften. Before I blended the soup, I took out some of the cauli florets so that they could add a bit of texture to the soup.I didn't have sherry, but I thought it still tasted very good! def'ly will make again.

it was alright, I wasn't crazy about the thyme, might try a different spice next time. Other than that it was pretty good!

Butternut Squash Soup II

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2012
amazing! I nearly ate the whole pot before dinner!!! :) I followed some of the recommended additions though: I added 2 small cloves of garlic (minced), and 1/2 tsp cinnamon, and a dash of nutmeg. I didn't peel the potatos, just washed and cubed them. I didn't have regular carrots, only baby ones, I jsut threw a few of them in. DEFINITELY a keeper!

Pimiento Potato Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2012
very good! I didn't have pimientos in the house so I followed others' advice and used green peppers. I also added cucumber. I used a couple of mustards, one called ' sweet with heat', and then regular prepared mustard, about 1/2 and 1/2. very good recipe, I look forward to trying it the way it's supposed to be! :)

Crispy Chocolate Squares

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2012
so yummy, the marshmellows melted a bit more than they should have, but they're still amazing! I put the sqaures in the fridge to harden before making/putting on the topping. This is a great easy no bake recipe, perfect for making on a hot day, don't have to use the oven! and it's so yummy, like reese's pieces with a bit of crunch to them! :)

Indian Style Basmati Rice

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2012
alright, it lacked a lot of flavour, but that could also be b/c I made another dish which probably overpowered it... but it turned out okay! my hubbie didn't mind it.

Skillet Sole

amazing! so yummy! I used red AND green peppers, some were frozen that I had put in the freezer before... also instead of tomato juice I used spaghetti sauce and added a bit of water. I like sauce so I put more than required. It was delish over the basmati rice we had that night! will defly make again.

very good! and that's coming from one who isn't a fan of dates! I happened to have some dates in the cupboard that I really wanted to get rid of, and this is the best way! :) even my hubbie didn't mind them. They freeze well, I 1/2 the batch in the freezer to have later.

Frank's Favorite Slow-Cooker Thai Chicken

Reviewed: May 31, 2012
sooo yummy! I was missing some key ingredients and had to substitute them, but it turned out very good regardless, and I can't wait to try it out with all the right ingredients! I didn't have any coconut milk so I substituted yogurt. I used mild salsa instead of hot b/c I never have the hot stuff in my house! so I put a little chili pepper flakes on top when it was in the crock pot. I just saw now that I also had forgotten to put soy sauce in!!! :( well I just can't wait to try it out again it'll be so much better!I didn't have cilantro either. and I used lemon juice instead of lime. It was all very saucy, so delicious, we used the extra sauce to put over the rice. I made basmati rice with curry and also put some peas & carrots in it.

Baked French Toast

Reviewed: May 28, 2012
It looked and smelled so good, but it was just too sweet!! it might have worked a bit better I hadn't made & poured all that syrup on it before baking it. and it was super soggy. Dont eat this unless you like your french toast (toast?!) soggy and ridiculously sweet.
