Classic Waffles

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2012
These were great, very easy to make. My husband & I were pleased. I added about 1/2 a teaspoon of cinnamon to the dry mix and you could taste the flavor. I have a new Belgian Waffle Iron (4 waffles) & this recipe only made 2.5 batches for me. The last batch wasnt enough to fill the iron so I'd add a little extra next time to even things out. Great recipe!

Rich and Creamy Tomato Basil Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2012
This was DELISH! So tastey. I used probably 10 basil leaves and next time I would use even less. I prefer more tomato than basil flavor but it was still quite amazing. I also didn't peel the tomatoes, it wasn't necessary with my hand blender, no chucks or peels leftover. I can't wait to make it again & plan to make a bigger batch to freeze!

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2012
My first time ever making beans & these turned out amazing. You def need to let them cook a long time but they were a big hit w/my husband! I froze the leftovers & plan to thaw them this weekend. What a great recipe! Thank you!

Kickin' Collard Greens

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2012
My first time ever making Collard Greens & this was fantastic!! The only problem I had was listening to other reviewers and added extra bacon. It was too much, next time I follow the recipe direct & use a small amount of bacon. Also, I added a few dashed of Frank's Hot Sauce to give an extra spice! Turned out great!!!

Pecan Pie V

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2012
I've made this 3 times now & it's a big hit! My mom loves pecan pie but a lot of times, it's too sweet for her b/c of the corn syrup. She tried this & demanded the recipe. SO DELISH!!!

Fresh Asparagus Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2012
I'm not sure how to rate this one, it was fun to make but I didn't like the flavor. I could taste the yogurt & it was too much for my taste. I did use plain greek yogurt & am not sure if that's why the flavor was too strong for me. My husband really enjoyed it though. I also had problems with the flour clumps but it doesn't specify the size of pot to use & I think a large pot was too big, causing the flour/butter to be too thin. Maybe try a regular saucepan.

Chuck's Favorite Mac and Cheese

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2011
This recipe prompted my first review on Allrecipes.com. It's amazing!! My husband LOVED it. We are mac & cheese lovers and always try it at various restaurants. This was my first time trying to make it at home & it turned out better than I expected. If you like thick, cheesy mac w/a little crunch on top, this is for you! I was hesitant to try it b/c of the cottage cheese & sr. cream but it was fantastic. I also added like 1/4 cup of chopped proscuitto, it added flavor. I forgot to salt & pepper it & it didnt need it. I also added more of both cheeses on top & used Garlic & Herb bread crumbs. I saw other reviews state it was too much bread crumbs, I agree, I would use about half of the suggest amount. This is seriously my new fav recipe!! Thank you Chuck!
