Spicy Indian Dahl

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2010
This recipe was very good. With no changes to the original recipe, using fresh ground spices, the dahl was flavourful and delicious. (I love indian food and am confused by the reviews saying it was bland. Did they follow the recipe?

Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich with Garlic Mayo

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2008
My DH and I both enjoyed this. I did toss the meat in the spice mixture from the other philly cheesesteak recipe. I also cooked the onions until softened before adding the meat, so they had a chance to carmelize. Next time I would use less than the recommended 2 tbsp mayo per sandwich and use a cheese with a little more bite.

Bacon Asparagus Pizza

We love this pizza and have been making it for years. Don't give in to the temptation to put sauce on it! :)

French Dip Sandwiches

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2007
I followed this recipe exactly except for using a 2 pound roast. The gravy smelled delicious, but was extremely salty (inedible). I carmelized onions and so served the beef drizzled with a little gravy, on toasted buns with cheese and onion and they were still very good. But the gravy for dipping all went down the drain...

Hash Brown Casserole II

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2007
Pretty good but my dh wasn't the hugest fan, so that plus the fact that it's not particularly good for you means I probaby won't be making it again.

Megan's Granola

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2007
Delicious! Even my dh who doesn't typically like granola ate this every morning until it was gone! (and my three year old was just as enthusiastic). It did take longer than the directions stated to get nice and crispy though, just remove from the oven, mix and check every 5 -10 min after the stated time. Oh, and I halfed the recipe and it still made tons of granola.

Garlic Green Beans

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2004
I have made this recipe several times for dinner parties and have always received rave reviews!! I have always used steamed fresh beans (can't stand the flavour of canned beans) and that's worked great. My only suggestion is to make extra as there has never been enough.
