Maryland Crab Cakes I

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2009
Excellent!!! My husband made these tonight for dinner and we both had totally clean plates afterwards. Not at all dry and tons of flavor.

Lasagne Verdi al Forno

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2009
This was amazing! My husband and I both agreed we will never be able to do Lasagna another way. I was unable to make the pasta from scratch due to time, but hope to give that part a try next time. I'm sure it will make it even better if that is possible.

Sesame Ginger Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2008
This was pretty good. I marinated the chicken for a while as well but it didn't quite have the intensity in flavor I thought it would. Despite that everyone gobbled it up and I will definately fix it again, just may need to play with it a little to make the flavors stronger.

Asian Coleslaw

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2008
This is a great recipe and offers something a little different. Even my 8 yr. old thought it was delicious. I served it with Sesame Ginger Chicken and it made the perfect side.

Tuna Noodle Casserole II

Reviewed: May 5, 2008
I personally liked it a lot. My husband didn't, but little did I know that somehow in his entire life he had never had a tuna casserole (how does that even happen!). It was creamy and had just the right flavor I was expecting.

Florentine Stuffed Chicken

Reviewed: May 5, 2008
This was a pretty good recipe and looked really nice as well. I used the boneless/skinless chicken breasts and still had to cook it a few more min. than called for - not really sure how the bone-in kind would have been done in that amount of time. My husband really liked it. I did use Vodka sauce instead of just regular spaghetti sauce and I think as someone else mentioned this recipe just can't be done justice by ordinary Ragu/Prego type sauces.

Easy Fruit Dip

Reviewed: May 5, 2008
This was a huge hit at my daughter's 4th birthday party this weekend. I did use orange juice instead of the recommended, but everyone just raved about it. Almost every person at the party has already asked for the recipe for it.

Kamikaze Burgers

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2008
These were really good! I mixed the wasabi in with the meat, onions, and garlic, and added some soy sauce as suggested by someone. I used medium cheddar and mixed a little wasabi & soy sauce in with the mayo. I will definately make these again, but may play with it a bit - they seemed to be missing something, just not sure what it is. My husband liked them a lot and he is hard to please.

I've been using this recipe for a couple of years now after my husband pestered me to find a way to make it "like his grandmother's" and this recipe was the best that I have found. The first time I made it I thought I wouldn't like it but now I love it about as much as he does. It's really nice to make for the kids so they can have a way to connect to their Dutch heritage, and they love it!

Gingerbread Men

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2006
This was a super easy recipe to follow and the cookies tasted amazing. I made these with my husband and kids a couple days before Christmas and the whole batch was gone by the next day. I would definately double or probably triple the recipe though - we only got about 8 big gingerbread men out of this recipe and they are so good I will make more next time. This recipe is a absolutely a keeper!
