Oven Fried Chicken III

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2006
Elizabeth, where have you been all our lives? This recipe is delicious. The spices are a beautiful blend together (although I had to adjust the salt for our own taste to 1/2 ts.). This is a 5-star YUM!

New Red Potato Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2006
FINALLY!, a recipe for good old fashioned potato salad. Didn't change a thing and it came out perfect...well, so our family and friends said on Saturday. I, too, had to stop myself from sampling so there'd be enough for our BBQ...lol.

Stuffed Shells I

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2006
Made these for my husband for Father's Day yesterday. Although I am not a pasta person, I found these to be delicious and so did he and my son. But my goodness it made quite a big batch. So, we're looking forward to the leftovers. Hint: I used a cake decorater tube to fill the shells (I use this also when making deviled eggs). What a time saver!

Cool Whipped Frosting

Reviewed: May 30, 2006
We just got back from a Memorial Day work weekend down the shore and were requested to bring a dessert. I used this reciped on a vanilla layer cake. Out of the 15 desserts brought, our cake was the first to go AND on the first night. The rest were "picked over" the next night. VERY DELICIOUS, LIGHT and EASY to make. Next time, I will try adding coconut as suggested by a previous reviewer. 5 star YUM!

Shrimp Scampi Bake

Reviewed: May 18, 2006
Ok, here is it...EASY, EASY, EASY...PLENTIFUL and DELICIOUS!! I reduced the serving size to 4 and it was still PLENTIFUL for 6. Now, my husband can't imagine serving butter on pasta...he's a gravy man! HE couldn't get enough of this dish and reminded me this morning to make sure I go on-line to rate this a FIVE STAR! And I AGREE! Thank you VERY much!

Easy to make and delicious. You just can't go wrong with onions, potatoes and cheesy sauce. No more "boxed" potatoes for us.

Sauteed Garlic Asparagus

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2006
growing up, we always had the "vegetable stand-bys"...peas, carrots, green beans, corn. I wanted something different...and this was delicious (for our own taste, I will cut back on the butter or maybe use olive oil).

Turkey Loaf

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2006
Amanda: I tried your recipe so as to compare it to mine and guess what? We make a really good Turkey Loaf. Thanks for helping me make sure I was making mine right (and delicious). REVISED 8/27/09: STILL a great recipe. Made this last night into "muffins"...used 2 lbs. Ground Turkey...omitted the egg and added a can of Cr. of Chicken...used poultry seasoning "to taste"...kept the rest of the ingredients the same. Popped into muffin pans and baked an hour at 350. Note: Don't worry that the recipe is extremely moist before baking...that's the payoff...cripsy on the outside, tender and moist on the inside.

Heaven and Hell Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2006
I came across this thinking it would be a cute cake idea to bring to a church dinner. Unfortunately, the only thing they liked about it was the name. The cake was too heavy and the frosting was too stiff and hard to work with. Sorry.

We just finished having this for dinner. I'm sorry to say...WE DIDN'T HAVE ENOUGH...lol. They couldn't get enough of it. I needed something quick to go with the Au Gratin potatoes I made from here last night. This was it. Hubby says it's a keeper.

Woohoo...another recipe not made from a can!! This was a hit with hubby and his boys for the Superbowl. There was P-L-E-N-T-Y of sauce for the "sloppy"!

Bubble 'n' Squeak

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2006
Came across this accidently...I couldn't resist making it with a name like that. Ahhh...a wonderful comfort food recipe. I was hoping for more cabbage...so next time I'll used a whole head. Oh, and less ham. But these changes are just for our taste. The recipe was very good otherwise.

Italian Wedding Soup I

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2006
I had some extra fresh spinach in the fridge when I came across this recipe. My husband has enjoyed it when we attended a wedding a few years ago...so I surprised him with it for dinner (he had 3 bowls). Your recipe is just like how we remember it at that wedding and it so EASY to make. The meatballs have a wonderful array of flavor. Thanks for sharing!

We just finished Christmas Dinner 2005 which included your wonderful recipe. My husband loved them and although I don't eat them, I thought the sauce had a delightful blend of flavors. Thank you for a recipe made from scratch, not can.
