Was looking for a different gravy to slow cook my roast in. This is IT! Something different always scares the men in our family...and this did. Then they TASTED it! AWESOME 5 star recipe...thanks for sharing!

St. Louis Toasted Ravioli

Fridays are for pizza. If not, I make it simple. Followed exact recipe. Son took a look and said he'd get something at the HS football game later. Next thing I know, they were gone with a mumble that they were good and to make them again! Fun, easy, and delicious!

Easy Chicken Divan

Made as said...didn't change a thing. Should have doubled the recipe...we didn't have left-overs to "firm up". Though the mumbling, I think I heard my son say it's "a keeper". LOVED this...thanks for sharing

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Ok...in all fairness, I've never eaten potato soup before and THIS is the only potato soup I'll be eating ever again. Was looking for a recipe for split pea for my ham bone and found this instead. Prepared it exactly as written...10-star YUM...5 from me and 5 from the hubby!

Classic Creamy Coleslaw

Yep...THIS is my sister's EXACT recipe that I have been looking for forever! Ask her for it, you say? She said we'd get a copy when "her time comes"...lol. Well, I couldn't wait THAT long. Made it for July 4th (cutting the servings to 10 and using bagged slaw) which got rave reviews...some even thinking it was Sis's. Thanks for sharing such a delish dish!

Pork Tenderloin with Gravy

Sigh...family tradition for the New year went out the window yesterday when I forgot the sauerkraut for our pork roast. Scanning, I came across this recipe which started a NEW tradition...what a delicious gravy it made. I browned and roasted a pork roast for an hour and then put this gravy over it and baked it another 1/2 hour. My son, who doesn't like Balsamic vinegar, LOVED this "meat dip". Hubby, who doesn't like pork and 3 helpings of it because of this gravy. Well done, Marilyn, well done!

Special Butterscotch Chip Cookies in a Jar

Made as directed with seasonal fabric and it DOES make a beautiful gift. I made them for the volunteers at the church. They were well received AND delicious, too. Now it's October '07 and I'm getting ready to make these as gifts again. So what does that tell ya? MAKE THE RECIPE!!! Thanks so much for sharing!

Fettuccine with Sweet Pepper-Cayenne Sauce

What a delicious dish...quick and easy, too. I knew once I read the recipe, I was going to add grilled chicken. For our taste, I did cut back to 1/2 ts. cayenne. This is definately a "repeat recipe". Thanks for sharing!!

Pork Roast with Sauerkraut and Kielbasa

This has been a New Year's tradition forever in our family (for luck, ya know). After draining sauerkraut, we sprinkle brown sugar over it and place roast on top. The brown sugar cuts the tartness of the kraut and makes it more enjoyable especially for those who really don't like kraut. Enjoy.

Monica...you took me back home again to my mother's cooking. I haven't had "Hot Pot" (it's what we call it) since her death 26 years ago and have been looking for this recipe FOREVER. Easy Stroganoff

I prepared it as suggested (adding more worchester for our taste) and we LOVED this recipe. I make it regularly using ground turkey. Either "ground" is DELICIOUS! And my son LOVES it with bowtie pasta. 5-star YUM! Thank you for sharing!

Hot Cocoa Mix in a Jar

Wonderful and rich. I made the recipe then put it in a disposable decorating bag having put three 1/3 cups in topped with mini marshmellows and chocolate chips. I first closed it with a twist-tie then a seasonal fabric for decoration. This made 7 bags. I will give them away with the "Special Butterscotch Chip Cookies in a Jar" found on this website. I thought the combo would make a great gift for our volunteers at church.

Delicious...at least that's what they told me on Sunday. I replaced the guacamole with lettuce (putting it 2nd to top) and used a 15 oz. can of chili with beans (to save time).

Oven Fried Chicken III

Elizabeth, where have you been all our lives? This recipe is delicious. The spices are a beautiful blend together (although I had to adjust the salt for our own taste to 1/2 ts.). This is a 5-star YUM!
