Day Before Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2014
We love these. So easy to make several hours ahead, spray the slow cooker with some non-stick spray and keep warm. I put a paper towel in the crock pot lid to keep the moisture from dripping on my potatoes. Hubby says not to bother doing potatoes any other way!

Broccoli with Garlic Butter and Cashews

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2014
The whole family really loved this! I did not have any cashews, but sprinkled it with sesame seeds! Will definitely be fixing this often!

Cranberry, Orange and Apple Relish

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2013
Delicious! I used two oranges and two smallish Granny Smith apples, with 1/2 cup of Splenda and a very scant 1/2 cup of sugar. Ground all the fruits with an old fashioned meat type grinder. It was a hit. Will definitely make again. Thanks for sharing!

Sombrero Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2013
This was delicious!! I took my cues from another review and cooked the bacon, veggies and chicken separately, then combined and covered with the fresh tomatoes. I did marinate my chicken in homemade fajita seasoning in the fridge all day. Served over rice, but I wish we had tortillas! It really was fabulous!!

Southern Pimento Cheese

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2013
This was really good! I left out the jalapeño and the pepper, as I was sharing it with the Grandkids. (They loved it, by the way!) I did not add any salt, either. When I was preparing it, it tasted plenty salty. When I got it out to fix sandwiches, I thought it could use a little salt. Next time, a little salt and a little cayenne pepper! So much better than the stuff I get in the supermarket! Thanks for sharing!

Succotash

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2013
Delicious!! I typically don't think a person should rate a recipe that they did not follow, but I had a few garden fresh ripe tomatoes and a pantry full of canned veggies. Looking for something a little different. I used canned corn and Lima beans, and only 2 tbsp. of butter. Same amount of salt and sugar. It was wonderful. Will definitely fix this one again!!

Absolute Best Pancake Syrup

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2012
Had this syrup with homemade waffles for a brunch this AM. I did make it last night, then warmed it in the microwave before serving. Oh, my, goodness. It was a hit. Delicious. Guests said I should can it and sell it! My daughter wants to make homemade cinnamon rolls and use this as the icing. It really is good, and so simple!! Thanks for sharing this great recipe!

Jack-O-Lantern Jumble

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2012
This is my daughter's favorite! I have been making it for years, since finding it in a TOH magazine. She is 25, now. We make it as written and love it. Getting ready to make a batch, now!

Dark Rye Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2012
Delicious!! I made the dough in the bread machine, then baked it in an oval loaf on a parchment lined baking sheet. Rose nicely. Dense, but not overly dense, for this type of bread. I did add more caraway seeds, and will probably add even more next time. Can't wait to use it for grilled cheese sandwiches! Thanks for sharing!!

Pufferdoodles (Puffy Snickerdoodles)

Thanks for sharing this recipe! Mine didn't stay as "puffy" as the picture, but they were so delicious and soft! I made them two weeks ago, and I think I will make them again this weekend! Marvelous!

The Whole Jar of Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2012
DELICIOUS!! I made this with no changes to the original recipe. Baked on parchment lined pans for 12 minutes, let cool on the pans 4 minutes, then to the cooling racks. This made exactly 6 dozen fairly large cookies. They are soooooo good! Thanks for the recipe!

Bada Bing Bada Banged Potatoes

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2012
Yummy! My daughter and I made these today for our husband's for Father's Day dinner. We had a toddler underfoot while the boys were out playing golf, so we didn't exactly measure everything out...but so simple and delicious! The Fathers were impressed. Will definitely make these often!

Spinach Brownies

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2012
I made half a batch of these delicious "brownies" tonight. The only thing I changed, was that I substituted green onions, because I had some that needed to be used up. These were really good. Even my vegetable hating husband that is not good at trying new things liked these!! Makes a lot. Half recipe made 12 squares, about 2X3 inches each. Hope they warm up well.

Easy Ice Cream Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2014
Wow! Easy and delicious! A winner with the whole family! I made this as written, but it did take 21 ice cream sandwiches to fill up my 9X13 inch cake pan. I cut a few in half to fit. Will be making this one again!

Sun Dried Tomato and Asiago Cheese Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2013
Delicious! I removed the dough from the bread machine and then baked it a traditional loaf pan. Next time I will form it into two smaller rustic loaves. My husband and I both really loved this bread! Kind of costly to buy the Amaranth flour and a good asiago cheese, but worth it!

Nonie's Best BBQ

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2012
Made this tonight for recipe group. Made half the recipe. It was easy and really good. Didn't know if the minced onion was fresh or dehydrated. Used real onion, minced with my box grater. An inexpensive, quick, delicious "sloppy" supper. Thanks!!
