Honey Bun Cake I

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2004
This cake deserves 20 stars it is SOOOOO good! I made this and could not believe how delicious it was. I gave some to a few of my family members then wished I hadn't when mine was all gone! My family thought it was great. I can't wait to make more. My sister said this was much better than a honey bun! Thanks so much for a wonderful recipe!!!

Restaurant-Style Spinach Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2004
Yummy!!! I used cream of mushroom instead of celery... and it was awesome. My 23 month old ate 2 helpings for supper and 2 more the next day at lunch. I think it was even better reheated. I will make this again, and again, and...

Almond French Toast

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2004
I don't know what I did wrong, but I could not get this to cook through... I cooked it forever it seems and all I got was too done outside and a still uncooked middle. I will not try this again. Sorry :(

We made these with four cheese instant potatoes, bacon bits, garlic, colby-jack cheese and sauteed onions... they were great! Will definitely make again :)

Hash Brown Casserole II

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2004
This was good, but next time I will either use 1/2 the hash browns or another can of soup and more cheese. It seemed too "dry".

Caramelized French Toast

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2004
Aagghh... this made a sticky, gooey, super sweet mess out of breakfast and we loved it! I think this was easy to make and it tasted great, but beware, you will probably need a tall glass of ice cold milk to go with this. It was very rich and sweet. I could only eat about half a piece.

Grilled Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2004
Oh my gosh!!! I can't believe I never thought of doing this before... sure I've eaten pb&j on toast but this is amazing! It's buttery, crisp and gooey. I loved it. It will become a regular for me as far as scrumptious snacks go.

These were really thick and too eggy for me. I didn't like them at all.

Chocolate Chip Cheese Ball

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2004
I don't think this tastes like cookie dough but it does taste good. I couldn't get it to form into a ball either so we just dipped it out of a bowl. My sister absolutely loved it...

Chocolate Gravy II

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2004
I gave this 4 stars just because it's fairly easy to make... as for the taste, my 5 year old wouldn't touch it and my 21 month old just played in it. I liked it okay, but I won't make it again... sorry :(

S'mores

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2004
I left out the sugar in the "crust"... and it doesn't really stay together. I will have to serve them with a fork, definitely not finger food! But they were super easy and taste pretty good. This is a good one to let kids help make! We will probably try again using whole graham crackers!

Easy Clotted Cream

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2003
I've never had clotted cream before so I was not sure what it was supposed to taste like. I ate it with Grandma Johnsons Scone recipe... and it was okay. I probably won't make it again.

I made this without the rum and placed on crepes. I thought it was very sweet but tasty. Will try again on ice cream!

Basic Crepes

I thought this was sooo simple to make. I made the bananas foster recipe from this site and placed inside the crepes. They tasted like banana french toast. It was very tasty...

Grandma Johnson's Scones

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2003
I have never made scones before, I think I messed with the dough too much as they turned out like a cake-like cookie. They were still very tasty and easy to make. I made 1/2 with chocolate chips and 1/2 I sprinkled with cinnamon and pumpkin pie spice!!!

Pumpkin Fluff Dip

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2003
We loved this! I made it for a family gathering and everyone loved it! We used cinnamon graham sticks and ginger snaps for dipping. Next time I make it I will use 1/2 the cool whip as I would like a more pupkin-y flavor!!

Chicken Suiza Cornbread Bake

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2003
My family loves this!!! I don't use mushrooms and I add salsa to the chicken instead of chiles. I also use real egg and Jiffy cornbread as suggested by other reviewers. The sweet cornbread and the spicy chicken make a great combination!

Autumn Cheesecake

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2003
If it were possible I would give this recipe 10 stars! It was very easy to make, it looked beautiful and it tasted marvelous! I doubled the cheesecake mixture and baked it in a hot water bath... left it in the oven for an hour after it was done and refrigerated it overnight. We also drizzled hot caramel sauce over the top before serving. It was amazing! I think the only thing I would do differently next time I make it is to cut the apples into smaller pieces as they don't cut easily when slicing. GREAT RECIPE!!!

Garlic Butter Sauce I

I loved how simple this sauce was. It tasted great. I also reduced the amount of herbs and added more garlic and some pepper. My husband said it tasted like the dipping sauce we just had at an italian restaraunt!
