My cooking triumphs
Canning - after 20 years we started our family tradition of canning again. New = beets and salsa for 2013. Over 100 jars canned of: tomatoes, end of the year tomatoes, green beans, kosher dills, bread and butter pickles, 50 lbs of beets, salsa, etc. thank you Tommy for outdoor cooker, lifting and taking care of the real heat.
My cooking tragedies
Trying to cook too fast, or heat too high. Thanksgiving Turkey with an oven that wasn't working properly.

Kathy's Italian Cookies
Try adding lemon chips to batter. Lemon juice & 1 Tablespoon lemon zest to icing works great also. Lemon zest = grating lemon - only very outside yellow area [- stop at white layer], when grating.

Butter Icing for Cookies
This is the recipe that I have been looking for - just the right consistency. Is there a way to make it a tad bit sweeter?

Best Ever Butter Cream Frosting
Thanks for the review with the suggestion to add powdered sugar. Overall I would say, too much work/ time for average frosting. Without the addition of powdered sugar I would agree with the suggestion to put on cookies.
