Garlic Quinoa

Reviewed: May 18, 2014
Loved the garlic taste. If you are not a garlic person, may want to use a little less.

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2014
Very good recipe. I cooked the first batch too long and they were a little hard but still super yummy.

Easy Garlic Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2014
Very good and moist. Changes it just a little. I used olive oil and garlic from a jar, added parm. cheese to the bread crumbs and sprinkled parm. cheese on top before baking.

Mrs. Sigg's Snickerdoodles

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2014
I have made Snickerdoodles with the same result, HARD and FLAT. Not this time though. They turned out great. Followed the recipe as it said and baked for 8 minutes.

The only change I made was I cut the recipe in half and used frozen broccoli. Turned out great. Will be making again soon.

Beef Tips and Noodles

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2012
Has become a weekly meal in our house. I make just a couple changes. First, I brown the meat. I use 3 cans of soup, 1 cup water and 1 cup milk, beef onion soup mix and 2 packages of brown gravy mix, I then bake it in the oven.

Harvest Rice Dish

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2009
This is easily one of the best side dishes I have ever had. Took a little time to make, but well worth the time. I only used one onion as we are not big onion eaters and it was still great.

Peanut Butter Balls V

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2008
While these were good, I think I like them better without the crushed graham crackers. I, as always, had a hard time melting the chips and they were too clumpy. Not quite sure what I do or do not do that causes this. I have alsi made with rice crispys and liked it better.

Hash Brown Casserole II

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2008
My aunt has made this for several years for our Christmas get-together and this year I decided to try it myself for my Christmas Eve Party. They were great. I did chance a couple things based on other reviews. I used cream of mushroom soup and the french fried onions. Everyone loved them. I like my a little crisp so I cooked them a little longer. Will be making again.

Apple Squares

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2008
This was great. I doubled the recipe and it was still gone in a flash. I added more apples (almost double). Make sure you watch the time close because you do not want to over bake it. I like it best a little warm (just pop in the microwave for a few seconds) with a little vanilla icecream or cool-whip on top. My kids and I are making it again today and I bet it is gone by dinner.

Lemon Blueberry Bread

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2008
As others have said it is very cake like. I thought it was okay. I gave it a 4 star because my husband loved it. I did not have lemon zest so I used orange instead. Turned out fine. Make sure to use the glaze on top as it really adds alot to the bread.

Almost No Fat Banana Bread

Reviewed: May 18, 2008
Very good and moist bread. I did make a couple small adjustments. I used egg beaters instead of the egg. I did not have enough banana so I increased the applesauce to compensate. I forgot to add nuts which I will be sure to remember next time.

Best of the Best Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2008
These muffins have a great taste and texture. I gave it a 4 only because they did not have a top like I like to have. I did make a couple changes that may have caused that. First, I used applesauce instead of butter to cut down on the fat and eggbeaters for the same reason. I also added a little cinnamon and did not put sugar on top. All-in-all a good muffin.

Amazing Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2008
This was super good. I only made two slight changes. First I used Reduced Fat Miracle Whip and second a used a little Rance Dressing mix with the Miracle Whip. Super good and moist. My 8 year old made most of it with very little help.

Ziti with Italian Sausage

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2008
This was a good change to how I traditionally make sausage. I was not crazy about it, but my family liked it. It felt that it was a little too dry and needed more seasoning. I think next time I will add Italian seasoning, more garlic, red and green peppers, more onion and more tomato sauce. I'll let you know how it goes!!

Crumb Apple Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2007
This was OK. I cut down the spice as a reviewer indicated. It was still a bit too sweet and the spice overpowered the natural sweetness of the apples. The topping was very good. I think next time I will cut the spice to 1/4 and see how that comes out.

Honey Glazed Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2007
This was pretty good. I marinated it for a couple hours before baking. It made it very sweet. I think next time I will follow the recipe a bit more. If that does not work, maybe I will try to cut the honey a little.

Mom's Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2007
I have made this several times over the past couple years and have always been more than happy. I use half oil and half apple sauce, half brown sugar and an extra cup of zucchini to make it a little moister. Great flavor and texture.
