Mad Hatter Salad

Absolutely delicious if eaten the first day. After that the "crunchies" go soft and soggy. If you don't intend to eat all this salad the first day, only put the crunchies on the portion you plan on serving.

Fruity Granola Bars

I am on a gluten-free diet so I used GF oats. I pretty much stuck to the recipe, except I substituted Corn Syrup for the honey, only because I didn't have enough honey on hand. I added toasted coconut, left out the wheat germ (can't have it) increased the sesame seeds, and added sunflower seeds. Used Craisens and raisens and almond slices. They are still cooling, but I snitched a bite and they taste great. Not sure if they're going to stick together properly, but they're just for me, so I'm not terribly concerned. (Hubby can have some, too, if he likes! LOL)

Accidental Fish

I wasn't thrilled with this one. It was fair. I think adding a little vermouth might help improve the depth of the flavor. Fish was rather bland. I wonder if frying it instead of baking it would help.

Mom's Country Gravy

Great! I don't even have to try this, because it's the same way my grandmother taught me to make what I used to call "lumpy gravy." However the "lumps" came from the scraps left in the pan after frying chicken or pork chops. This makes for a wonderful gravy. The key here is to brown the flour. Don't skip on this. It is the difference between a wonderful, rich, nutty taste and PASTE. Too many restaurants and people don't brown the flour............ugh!!!

Nutty Coconut Fish

Wow!!! This one is good enough to impress the most discriminating palate! Definitely one for company. Just the right amount of sweetness from the coconut, with a slight zing from the cayenne. Thanks for a great recipe Missbic!!!

Mine popped open, too. Not sure what went wrong...I pinched them together as directed. The taste was fair...but certainly NOTHING to rave about.
