Absolutely perfect seasoning. Just the right amount of heat for my family too. Beats the packet mixes hands down!!

Slow Cooker Apple Crisp

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2012
This recipe was great - but next time I think I'll add a handful of old fashioned oats. That was missing for me. But I love the idea of throwing it all in the crockpot, running out to get errands done and coming home to an awesome smelling house! Delicious with a scoop of french vanilla ice cream.

Scottish Shortbread II

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2012
Very good recipe - tastes just like how my grandmother used to make it for the holidays. I wish there was a time on this recipe though because I had no idea how long to put it in for. I started with 20 minutes and just kept checking until it was what appeared to be "done" and golden brown on top. It's very crumbly at first, so I took other reviewers advice and waited until it was completely cooled before trying to cut into squares. It was delicious and everyone loved it! I love easy recipes that only need a few ingredients.

Outrageous Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2012
These are by far the BEST homemade cookies I've ever made. I've made many batches over the past couple years using this recipe exactly as written. Everyone always raves over them and wants a copy of the recipe. Practically impossible to screw up unless you overcook them - the ratios always come out perfect for me every time.

Incredible Punch

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2012
Made this with a cosmopolitan mix instead of pina colada - and it was great! Had to make 2 batches for a baby shower and both disappeared before the party was over. It's definitely a sweet drink, but the pink color looked pretty in the punch bowl. We made a fancy ice ring with some sliced up limes and raspberries to accent it as well. Very easy and cheap to put together for a crowd.

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2012
Absolutely outstanding recipe. I've made it several times now, for Thanksgiving, Christmas and a Pie Day party with friends. It always gets rave reviews and is always the first pie to disappear. The sauce really helps the filling set up so slices cut perfectly. No soupy pie here! This will stay in my family recipe box forever.

Sopapilla Cheesecake Pie

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2012
This was great and so satisfying. I only wish it kept well. It really has to be enjoyed the day it's made (which shouldn't be too hard to do with a crowd!). I found that it gets soggy and not nearly as appetizing if you try to save pieces in the fridge for later.

Brownies III

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2012
I was looking for a brownie recipe that didn't need butter (I had none and I'm stuck home in a snowstorm!). This was it. I have to say these came out "OK" but weren't great. Definitely too much oil. I beat my eggs with the oil for about 2 minutes and I think that helped keep it from separating while cooking (I didn't have pools of oil like other reviewers). But after these cooled and set they are still just too oily for my taste. I added some chocolate chips and I think that helped with the flavor because they are otherwise kind of bland. BUT - it satisfied a craving when our pantry was very low stocked. If you have access to more ingredients, there are definitely better recipes out there.

Easy Lemon Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2011
These are absolutely the easiest, most delicious cookies to whip up in a pinch. Whenever cake mix goes on sale I stock up on lemon! I've probably made these at least a dozen times over the past 2 years. I've got it memorized now.

Shortbread Cookies II

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2011
Quick and easy cookie recipe, it comes together so fast with very few ingredients. The cookies are tender and delicious - you don't even need any icing if you don't want it! But for the holidays I did a quick vanilla icing to top these off with some sprinkles.
