Bubble Pizza

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2011
My family and I didn't care for this recipe. Too much crust and it just felt so unhealthy eating even though I put a lot of vegetables on top. I would not make this again.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2010
This recipe is AWESOME with a few modifications. First, add a few spices... cumin, parsley, poultry seasoning, seasoned salt and pepper. Next, only use 1 can of biscuits, not 2. (I even used the reduced fat version and they tasted the same!) Then, instead of water, use 3/4 can of low sodium/lowfat chicken broth. At first, it seemed like way to much liquid, but eventually the biscuits soaked it all up! I added baby carrots and one large diced a potato. Added the chicken in the middle of cooking time. At the very end I added frozen peas. Good enough to give away!!

Colleen's Slow Cooker Jambalaya

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2010
This dish was very easy and flavorful/spicy. I took the other reviewers suggestions and put the chicken in at the last few hours so it wouldn’t dry out and cut the chicken after it was cooked. I used the whole can of chicken broth and a ½ teaspoon of cayenne pepper. I made some brown rice and put it in bowl and ladled the Jambalaya over it. My family LOVED it!!!

Chicken Florentine Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2010
I don’t know what all the hype is about this recipe. I took other reviewer’s advice and used fresh spinach and sautéed it in a little butter and garlic (drained juice). I won’t be making this again!

Shrimp Francesca

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2010
I'm going to give this two stars. We were very disappointed considering what great reviews it got. I'm going to try it again. It may be my fault. What not to do: I used frozen (raw) shrimp. I thought it was thawed out, but wasn't. So, it created a lot of juice, which made it very runny and fishy :(

Sausage Pasta

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2010
This was EXCELLENT!!! I used 3 cups of uncooked penne and it was perfect. I took the casing off of the sausage. I also used a fresh bag of spinach and chopped it up and added it to the tomato & sausage mixture at the very end, just enough to wilt it. I will definitely make this again. The entire family gave it five stars.

I took these to a birthday party, lots of complements, they were gone even before the rest of the food was put out.

Chicken in Savory Lemon Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2010
This was excellent, the only thing I did different was added fresh garlic to the sauce and 1 whole lemon and my family LOVED it. They are very picky and don't like much. Two teenage girls and husband loved it. I will be making this again and again.

Spinach and Feta Pita Bake

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2009
It has to be really good for me to give 5 stars. This was delicious and the family LOVED it. The only thing I did different was put all the ingredients in a bowl (except the pesto) and mixed it with the oil. I wanted to make sure the toppings got an even amount of oil. I also topped half of them with chicken for my husband. I used the frozen Tyson precooked chicken strips (thawed first). It's a winner in our family. :)

Sloppy Joe Sandwiches

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2009
I have a 14 year old daughter that is the pickiest eater ever. The one thing she likes is Sloppy Joe's. I always make the one in the can and didn't have one on hand. So I made this recipe. She said this was the best she ever had. I didn't change a thing and it was so EASY. I'm sure this is much healthier than the can. I will make this for now on.

Salisbury Steak

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2008
Very tender and moist. I used the suggestions of the other reviews. I added a can of cream of mushroom soup & a jar of mushrooms. Instead of salt I added a few table spoons of Lipton Onion soup. I omited the ketchup. Baked it for 30 minutes at 350 with gravy over the top. It was perfect. I will pass this recipe on and make it again.

Spinach Stuffed Chicken Breasts

Reviewed: May 7, 2008
This was delicious. My kids will not eat spinach, but they ate this. I will definitely make this again. I followed a few changes from the reviews and it was perfect. 1. Mixed 3 part low-fat sour cream and one part low-fat mayonnaise. 2. Baked at 350 for 30 minutes coverd. 3. Broiled 8 min on low uncovered. Perfect not dried out, yummm

Kickin' Collard Greens

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2008
I followed the recipe just as it read. I've never made collard greens before. The recipe does not tell how to cut the greens. I took the stems off all the way up the leaves. This was a very time consuming recipe and not worth the time. I should have listened to the reviews about the salt. They were very salty. We did not like this recipe at all. It went in the garbage disposal.

Baked Potato Skins

These were EXCELLENT, they tasted just like restaurant skins. I served them for a football party and they were one of the first things to go.

White Chili I

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2007
This was a great recipe. My family enjoyed it and my friends wanted the recipe. This recipe has a great flavor to it. I served it where you could add the following to your bowl: fresh cilantro, shredded Colby cheese, green onion, sour cream, salsa and some corn chips. Really yummy!

Lemon Garlic Tilapia

I don't know how this recipe has received 4 1/2 stars. It's nothing to share with friends or pass on to family or rave about to the family. It was just ok.

Baked Orange Roughy Italian-Style

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2007
This was fabulous, it was so easy, quick and delicious., I will definitely pass this one on to my friends. I can't wait to make it again . I didn't change hardly anything. The only thing I did different was, poured the extra butter on the bottom of the casserole dish and used all the bread coating, sprinkled any leftover on the fish.

Easy Guacamole

Reviewed: Jun. 5, 2003
This was very good, but not the best I have ever had. I used 1/2 of the onion and chopped that with the garlic in the food processor. Don't omit the salt and pepper.
