Thankfully, this recipe is very forgiving because I completely jacked it up. For starters, I forgot to add the Italian dressing mix in the beginning, so when I walked in from work and saw it sitting on the counter, I thought, I'll just put it in now. Then added the rest of the ingredients and some sour cream (suggestion from another reviewer). As soon as I did it, I was sorry because it smelled like Sour Cream and Onion potato chips. Still having the slightest bit of home, I let it cook for another 1/12 hour while attending a school function. When we came home, my husband and daughter said they liked it, but I just couldn't get past the smell, even though it was gone. I served it to them over whole wheat noodles, they really liked it. My daughter ate three bowls! I finally tried it and it was good, however, the smell was haunting me. Husband wants me to cook it again and add mushrooms and peas.
