Pizza Dough I

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2011
I bake a lot so I don't mind a recipe with a lot of steps, but I'm not going to complain when something soooo easy tastes soooo good. If you stretch it thin, this makes a perfect Brooklyn style foldable crust. If you keep it a little thicker, it gives a great handtossed style crust. We always make extra dough for a dessert pizza or cinnamon sticks.

Guajillo and Tomatillo Salsa

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2010
Don't expect a typical tomato based salsa. Guajillos give a slightly smoky and even bitter taste. They are kind of like dark chocolate. Not everybody loves them but those of us who do - LOVE them.

Simple Whole Wheat Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2010
Wow! So delicious! I added 6 Tbl. of vital wheat gluten and substituted 2 cups of white flour with 2 cups of dry 6 grain cereal. It turned out perfectly, and my family ate 1 1/2 loaves during dinner tonight. Yum!

Hot Banana Salsa

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2010
WOW!!! This was soooo good! We used a jalapeno instead of the habanero. We served it with Jay's Jerk Chicken skewered and grilled and a bed of basmati rice. This is one of the most unique and delicious recipes we have tried from Allrecipes. Will definitely make this again!

Warm Mango Salsa

Reviewed: May 1, 2010
Very, very good. We used it on grilled tilapia wrapped in corn tortillas. Delicious. I would consider adding an extra jalapeno next time for just a little more heat.

Absolutely Ultimate Potato Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2009
This was great. It is one of those recipes that you can either follow exactly or experiment without too much fear of messing it up. I used 2% milk instead of cream and this was still plenty rich. We topped with grated cheddar and this was a main course. Next time I may try adding some velveeta cheese directly to the soup.

My Amish Friend's Caramel Corn

My favorite caramel corn recipe. Our family doesn't bake it. We just let it cool on waxpaper and it makes the perfect soft caramel corn.

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2009
Excellent!! Easy to make, and so delicious! Everyone had seconds and thirds. We're definitely keeping this recipe! I did add minced garlic to the melting butter, and also added a few dashes of nutmeg, which I think is a must for alfredo sauce. Thanks for sharing!

Byrdhouse Dream Salad Dressing

Wow! What a great dressing. The rice vinegar and sesame gives it a very asian flair. I think next time I will try adding a little ginger too. Will be making this often.
