Lamb Shank Vindaloo

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2013
Thank you, Chef John! These are probably the best lamb shanks we've ever made and eaten. A bit labor intensive, but worth every minute. My guy has an onion allergy, so we made this sans onion, but with a bit more garlic than the recipe calls, other than that followed the recipe exactly. This is definitely a keeper. Thank you again!

Short Rib and Cauliflower Curry

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2012
Oh my goodness! This was crazy good, 10 stars good. I had about 3 lbs of boneless short ribs and used Vindaloo curry powder instead of the red curry paste and this was wonderful! The only thing I may do differently next time is double the amount of sauce. I also didn't think to review the video once again before making this dish and did not cover the Dutch oven when it went into the oven (the printed recipe did not specify this detail) and my cauliflower took 15 minutes on the stovetop instead of the 5 mentioned in the recipe. I almost skipped the star anise because it smelled like liquorice, but I am so glad I stuck with the recipe as written. This is definitely a keeper and will be made often in our home. Thank you so much for sharing!

Don't Knock it Until You Try it Zucchini Chocolate Banana Nut Milkshake

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2012
Thank you for a WONDERFUL idea to add grated frozen zucchini to a milkshake! My super picky 13-year old had no idea he was drinking a zucchini milkshake.

Curried Coconut Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2012
This was sooo good and so easy to make. I didn't have an 8oz can of tomato sauce or diced stewed tomatoes, so instead I used two 14.5oz of plum tomatoes which I pureed with a hand blender because our family does not like chunks of cooked tomatoes. I was a bit worried that that would make the sauce too thin or to "tomatoey," but it was perfect. The chicken was perfectly tender, not dry and we look forward to using some of the leftover sauce with scallops and shrimp. Thank you for sharing a wonderful recipe!

Glazed Lemon Bundt Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2012
This was the very first bundt cake I've ever made and it came out great! DH said it tasted just like his "grammy's" which was the highest praise I have ever received from him. I sprayed my bundt pan with some non-stick spray and it came out beautifully. Icing was a bit too runny for me, so after pouring about 1/3 of it on the cake (I made some holes on top with toothpick as another reviewer suggested), I added about 1/2 cup more powdered sugar to it and poured that on top of the cake. Very lemony. Thank you for a keeper!
