Three Cheese Macaroni with Tomatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2012
I cut the recipe in half; but used the 2 cans of stewed tomatoes as other reviews said this tended to be on the dry side. Also, used an Italian blend of shredded cheese and topped with Italian bread crumbs. It was very enjoyable and a different way to serve Macaroni with some garlic bread and a side salad. Turned out to be only two of us for dinner today; so there are leftovers for tomorrow. Thanks for sharing a quick weeknight dinner, KACAR0021 !!

Daddy's Savory Tomato Biscuits

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2012
I cut the recipe in half and followed the recipe exactly. Baked them on parchment paper and they turned out to be perfect with the homemade chili we had for dinner tonight. We all loved the taste of tomato in these. They would be also good with soup. Thanks for posting, michellej. These are a keeper !

Cinnamon-Apple Crostata

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2012
I used homemade apple pie filling and added crushed walnuts on top; served with scoop of cinnamon ice cream. While this was very good while still warm, no one cared for the leftovers the next day. Thanks for sharing something new for us to try.

Long Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2012
Very easy for a week night dinner. As some reviewers suggested, I added shredded carrots, used rice noodles and added some diced water chestnuts that needed to be used up. Everyone loved it; I was hoping for leftovers, but there were none. Next time I will double this. Thanks for sharing, CORWYNN DARKHOLME. This is a definite keeper!

Lite Italian Salad Dressing

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2012
I halved this recipe; did not use the corn oil and subbed italian seasoning instead of oregano. Was having a simple baby spinach salad with hard boiled eggs, red onion and swiss cheese chunks for dinner tonight and needed a light dressing for it. This hit the spot!! So easy and quick to put together; best of all it tasted great. Thanks for sharing, Lillian!!

Turkey Soup with Dressing Dumplings

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2012
Roasting the bones always makes soup tastes better!! I put the bones and scraps into cheese cloth before added to the water, makes it easier to remove. There was no leftover cranberry sauce from our dinner, so skipped that part. This was a very unique way to make dumplings, and we all enjoyed them as something different. Followed the suggestion from one of the reviewers to bake the dumplings and put them in the individual bowls first, then added the soup. Will freeze the leftovers if there is any today. Thanks so much for sharing!!

Quick Pumpkin Pudding

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2012
Two children ages 5 and 3 were celebrating Thanksgiving with us this year. Their mother had informed me they were picky eaters and would not eat pies of any kind. I doubled this easy to prepare pudding and topped with a bit of vanilla yogart. Both ate two helpings; and even the adults who tasted enjoyed. I gave the mother the recipe before they left for the evening. Such an easy, quick fix when you crave somethng a little sweet.

Karla's Nutty Turkey Cranwich

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2012
A great way to use leftover turkey and cranberry sauce. I used miracle whip on both sides of the toasted bread. We all loved the crunch that the walnuts added. One person used toasted pecans and said it was very good, also. Definitely a little different twist for a leftover turkey sandwich !

I have made this several times using a graham cracker crust as some other reviewers suggested. Halved the recipe yesterday to make as a Thanksgiving treat for an elderly neighbor. She said it was the best lemon "pie" she had ever tasted. Thanks for sharing, MRS.KELLYZ.

Pear Honey Cranberry Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2012
Every year I make a different cranberry sauce for Thanksgiving because we are not big fans of it and want to try something new. I made this yesterday; followed the advise of some of the reviewers... added two extra pears cooked in orange juice instead of water and reduced the sugar. I refrigerated overnight. We tasted it today and it was very good. I am sure the guests tomorrow will enjoy it as much as we did. Thanks for sharing, Sue S.

Spanish Style Albondigas in a Sunny Mediterranean Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2012
I made this when it was still a personal recipe; Here is my review:.....Reviewed on Jun. 9, 2012by misty This tasted wonderful and was enjoyed by all. Leftovers were equally as good! I followed recipe as stated; except using fresh garden tomatoes. I think the idea of chilling the meatballs was great, seemed hold them together better; I would have never thought to do that. Thanks for sharing, Don. Another winner in my book !!
