About this Cook
I just started learning how to cook at the age of 30. But I have put my mind to it and so far so good! I am quite proud of myself! I have been cooking a wide variety of things and am not afraid to try anything!
My favorite things to cook
I can cook chicken 100 different ways from sunday, and I love green beans any way you can make them!
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom cans a lot of stuff, pickles, preserves, and a lot of old school recipes with garden fresh ingredients! I hope to be as good as her and my grandmother one day!

Pork Chops with Apple Cider Glaze
I made this last night exactly as the recipe calls for...when I tasted the glaze I felt that I needed to add a little extra Dijon mustard and a pinch of brown sugar, because we like things sweet. This was an amazing recipe!!!! Definitely something different for pork! We absolutely loved it! The glaze does take longer than 4 minutes to reduce but be patient it's worth the wait! Thanks so much for this recipe, we will definitely be putting this in our normal meal rotation!!!

Apple Coleslaw
I made this exactly as the recipe says and it was amazing! I love cooking with fruit, this is the perfect way to liven up average coleslaw! Yummy! I will definitely be making this again!

Brown Sugar-Glazed Home-Style Meat Loaf
I made this the other night just to try something different, I HATE meatloaf but this was so delicious! My boyfriend loved it and actually ate the left overs (which he never does). The only thing i didn't have was the oats so I used bread crumbs. I will definitely be making this again soon! Great recipe!!! (Ps. You really have to continuously drain the fat to keep the meat from falling apart)
