Cream of Fresh Asparagus Soup II

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2006
YUM.. I just found and made this recipe within the last hour! Just couldn't wait to try it out! I halfed the recipe, and left the asparagus measurement the same. DELICIOUS!! Left out the lemon in the end - didnt' jive well with me. Certainly will join my soup box :)

Cottage Cheese Chicken Enchiladas

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2006
YUM :) I left out the taco spice, it was tasty enough just with the chillis. Only used a bit of the enchilada sauce too, looked a bit strange to me! The sourcream/cheese mix really compliments the heat of the chicken - delicious mix!

Burrito Pie

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2006
Not too bad, I suppose it was what it was. The tortillas I used got a bit too soggy, maybe toasting them in an oven would help first. I left out the chilli's and the hot sauce.. WAY too hot for us! It all got eaten, I suppose that's a good sign.

Jamie's Minestrone

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2006
WOW.. so good! I changed the amount of most ingredients because I was afraid of running out of room in my pot! Just put more of things I love, and less of things I just like. Great soup to experiment with! thanks

Broccoli Beef I

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2006
WOW.. what a great 30 minute meal! Boiled water for noodles while slicing partically frozen beef (secret to get it REALLY thin) and everything was ready SO quickly. Sauteed the bef in sesame oil, flavoured it just right! Enjoyed with noodles.. and a side of plain ol corn added great colour to the meal! Sprinkled a bit of sesame seeds on top.. YUM

Fabulous Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2004
Much better than i expected. I halfed this recipe, and it made 2 dozen cookies. Cookies were soft and delicious. I ommited the cinnamon because i didn't see the point, and just added chocolate chips instead of nuts etc.

Alienated Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2004
YUMMY! I must admit.. that as i type this.. i'm already on my second muffin. I'm glad that i halfed this recipe - otherwise i'd be in HUGE trouble! The only change that i made to the recipe was adding more blueberries.. i mean.. you can never have too much of a good thing. DELICIOUS muffins, you MUST try these!

Peanut Butter Bon-Bons

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2004
I cut this recipe to 33 servings, 100 seemed like i could get addicted! Pretty yummy, however it was a HUGE mess - pb everywhere.. splattered with chocolate. Also, not enough chocolate listed to cover balls.

Jay's Signature Pizza Crust

Reviewed: May 23, 2004
Such a great recipe.. i've probably made this at least 20 times since finding the recipe. I often add herbs to the dough or cheese.. tastes GREAT! I always freeze half so that we can have pizza the next week without waiting for the dough to rise!

Feta Cheese Turkey Burgers

Reviewed: May 23, 2004
MMMMMMMMMMmmm delicious.. these burgers will be hitting my grill many times this summer. I didn't add olives, and added about a 1/4 cup of italian bread crumbs and garlic/herb seasoning instead of oregano. Made 3 HUGE burgers.

Pretty great. I skipped the basil, added a garlic/herb seasoning. Instead of butter i used olive oil. Worked great with shish kabobs.

Chicken and Bacon Shish Kabobs

Reviewed: May 16, 2004
WOW WOW WOW :) I only changed a few things, and i'm not sure that it made any difference - this is a great recipe. I didn't have any cider vinegar.. so i used half malt, and half plain vinegar. I also used green pepper instead of pineapple. WOW.. just amazing.. you have to try this recipe

Mini Cheesecakes III

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2004
WOW WOW WOW WOW!!!!! I was a little nervous trying out this recipe because I had never made baked cheesecake (always just the instant kind). The ingredients are so simple and it takes no time at all to make this dessert up. My bf and I ate all 6 of them for dessert tonight!! We have plans to make these again next week for our family Easter celebration! You must try these!

Pretty wonderful muffins. I've tried this a few times, I think my favourite combo is lemon yogurt with fresh blueberries. Still haven't found a way to keep the tops crunchy like i like - i'll keep trying different things
