OREO Cookie Balls

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2013
These are sooooooo good!!!! For my Christmas cookie party, I added crushed candy canes inside, as well as sprinkling a few on top. I used a double broiler for the chocolate, used two forks for dipping, and put them on waxed paper when done. You have to freeze the mix for a good 15 minutes to make them easy to roll in your hands; just putting them in the fridge even for a half hour, doesn't cut it. I also added just a tad extra cream cheese for extra creaminess inside my cookie. They were a hit!

Basic Chicken Barbecue

This is not technically a marinade - it's called "brining" and can be done with a Thanksgiving turkey as well.

These were excellent! I substituted 3 c of grated cheddar for the processed cheese, added sauteed minced garlic clove and yellow onion, and substituted FF half and half for the milk and they were out of this world!

rob1999, I think you're mistaken. What kind of idiot would put something in a crockpot for 10 minutes? It wouldn't even be warmed up yet!

Spaghetti Carbonara II

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2008
I'm sorry, but all you guys who are adding peas, mushrooms and even vodka sauce? to this dish are crazy. This is the classic version of carbonara. No Cream! The eggs are what hold the dish together and give it it's natural richness. If you want the TV dinner cream dish, use another recipe!

You goota tweak these recipes to your liking.I made some adjustments and it came out excellent! Little less cabbage and carrot, little more apple. Added 1 T of milk, 1 t T of lemon juice, and 3 T of onion. I used 4 T of lowfat mayo and increased the vinegar to 2 T for a little tsing. mmmmm nice change from the usual.

Prosciutto Wrapped Asparagus

I have this recipe and make it all the time! I use real cream cheese. Be sure to add just a little minced garlic, salt, and pepper to the cheese before spreading for added flavor.
