Hearty Vegetable Lasagna

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2006
its a wonderful recipe ,but i did make some changes to suit my family.I boiled spinach and had one layer of cottage cheese, spinach and 2 eggs.this is how i layered my lasagna:sauce, pasta, veggies, sauce, pasta, spinach, pasta, sauce, shredded cheese.I didnt put any cheese in between the lasagna noodles to cut down some calories. Thanks for a wonderful starting recipe.

Chocolate Eclair Dessert

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2006
Definitely the easiest and most delicious dessert I have eaten for some time.Just 2 points to remember.First is to make the chocolate sauce as advised by some other reviewers:Mix 1/3 cup cocoa,3/4 cup sugar in saucepan.Add 1 tsp vanilla,2 tbsp butter,1/4 cup milk.Boil for 1 minute.Set aside to cool. Then frost the dessert and cover with cling film.Set in the referidgerator for 24 hours(thats the second point to remember!).This is a must so that the crackers get real soft. Thanks a lot for this recipe and the other reviewers who pointed out the need to referigerate for 24 hours as well as the sauce recipe.

Oven Fried Chicken III

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2006
Delicious. Not bland at all.Just remember to use only 1/2 a cup of mayo, and add a little milk. Also instead of Thyme, used 1/2 tsp Basil,1/2 tsp oregano. It does need to be baked at least 45 mins on 350 and then 15 mins on 375.Next time I will leave the skin on as suggested by other reviewers.

Simple Maple Syrup

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2006
I made this with 1 cup white and 1 cup brown sugar. It was a bit runny for my taste but did not have corn flour or corn syrup to thicken it.Even then it was quite good.I did not even know that making home made syrup for pancakes/ waffles could be so easy.Thankyou for a wonderful recipe.Next time will experiment thickening it and then will re-revioew the recipe.

Fluffy French Toast

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2006
Unbelieavbly fluffy. Also the french toast did not break up as they usually do with my regular recipe. Also followed a reviwers advice of frying the french toast in crisco and it was definitely wonderful since it prevented the burning, that occurs when i fry with oil or butter.

Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: May 29, 2006
This recipe is simply amazing!I read the reviews first since I dont own a bread machine, and this is how I made them:Dissolve an 8 g packet of dry active yeast in warm milk and 1/4 c sugar. Let it stand for 10 minutes, till yeast is foamy. Then add the remaining wet ingredients. In the end add the flour and mixed with the dough hooks of my beater till dough ball is formed .Heated oven 200F,and turned it off.Cover dough with moist kitchen towel over bowl.Put in oven for 1 hour.By then the dough will have doubled in volume. Then roll out the dough in rectangle shape.Spread butter, and then sprinkle brown sugar and cinammon mixture on top.Roll it,slice in 12 pieces and put in greased 9 x 13 in glass baking dish.Cover for 30 more minutes. Then bake in 350 F oven for 20-25 minutes,(Set pan on lower rack to bake-i read this but forgot it.will try itnext time and see the difference.)Also someone mentioned that right after taking it out of oven invert the pan so that the drippings recoat the buns.SInce I didnt have much drippings didnt do it. Thanks for this deliciously and easy recipe.
