The Cole Family
About this Cook
I'm a mother of two wonderful little boys, and wife to an amazing husband. I'm a music teacher and professional singer, and love cooking for people.
My favorite things to cook
Betty Crocker's Pork Chops Supreme is one of my favorites. But I love to experiment and try new things (sadly, with the exception of fish-yuck!). I also love making my mother-in-laws stuffed mushroom recipe which has become a party favorite, and every Christmas I make a 30 day friendship cake which I start 22nd batches in November and give away loaves to friends.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I start the 30 day cake with my boys in November. It's become our yearly tradition.
My cooking triumphs
I made a new cookie recipe this year that was a big hit with all.
My cooking tragedies
One thing I will never live down, is when I was in high school I was making a birthday cake for my mom. I couldn't understand why my icing wasn't smooth like hers always was. Well I found out I used regular granulated sugar instead of 10x. I didn't know then that there was a difference. Lol. I haven't forgotten since, but I stay away from icing recipes.

Spinach Stuffed Chicken Breasts
I made this for dinner last night, and we all loved it. However, I did modify it a bit. Instead of Bacon I rubbed extra virgin olive oil on the outside. And I think next time we will cook it for less than an hour as the chicken got just slightly dry. But great nonetheless!

Butternut Squash Cajun Fries
I loved this alternative to regular fries. And I love spicy so the cajun spice was an extra bonus!
