Caramel Marshmallow Buttons

Very good, dyed the rice krispies green for Christmas. We all had green tongues after eating (lol). Kind of time consuming and they tasted better than they looked. Wonder if you crushed the Rice Krispies for a finer coating it would make a taste difference? My rice krispies kind of clumped up and stuck out akwardly. Overall, very cute and good idea.

Grandma's Corn Pudding

Very good, was exactly what I was looking for!! I did have alot of liquid in the bottom of the dish,though, and are wondering what I did wrong. I made the casserole the night before, refrigerated, and cooked the next morning before church. Maybe that was the reason. Other than that, taste was wonderful and not a bite was left.

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Very good and easy. I did not add the celery (was making for my grandmother and she doesn't like celery). I also added a jar of the bacon pieces(in the jar like bacon bits, but is real bacon pieces chopped up). Brought some to work and they said it was wonderful. Good easy comfort food.

Honey Mustard Grilled Chicken

This just did not work for us. Unless you really love honey mustard, I don't recommend it. I marinated overnight, so maybe that was the problem. The taste and smell was really overwhelming, not to mention the aftertaste. It was edible, just didn't care for it.

Slow Cooker Ham

I was pleasantly surprised at how good this was! I couldn't find a picnic ham, so I just bought a small 2 1/2 lb. boneless ham. Can't wait to try it exactly as the recipe specifies. Husband even commented on how good it was. Smell was great while cooking.

Bacon Crackers

Made these for an ornament party I had last night. At first, I thought, these just look like a cracker with bacon on them. After I ate one or two they grew on me. Bacon got really crisp and brown sugar added a nice sweetness to it. Be careful because some of mine got a tad too burnt on bottom. Did not get asked for the recipe, though. That's usually my rule of thumb whether I make something again. Easy and good, though.

Country Style Barbecued Chicken

I had such high hopes for this. I followed the recipe exactly. Just really tasted like baked chicken with ketchup on it. It's edible, but not something I think I would fix again. Shredded leftovers and made sandwiches the next night. Sorry! Just didn't work for us.

Buffalo Chicken Dip

Made this for a shower and it went over really well. I was afraid it would be too hot, b/c it really smelled strongly of hot sauce, but no one complained. Served it with celery sticks and crackers. Most people liked it with the celery. Was easy, fast, and enjoyed, so I will definitely make again!!

Pork Chops for the Slow Cooker

These were quick and easy to make. 12 yo son really liked them, even ate seconds. Husband was less than thrilled, but he ate them. I added about a tsp of honey to the mixture, cant say that it added much. Will definitely make again on busy day.

OU Corn Casserole

Don't know what I expected, but I was very disappointed in this. It just tasted like cornbread with corn in it. Maybe will try next time by adding egg and sour cream. Sorry! I had high hopes for this one.

Holiday Chicken Salad

Best chicken salad I have ever eaten!! Did omit the pecans and didn't feel like it was missing anything. Will never make chicken salad any other way. The cranberries are what make this recipe.

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

Made this last night and had really high hopes for it. It's not bad, just tastes like regular old barbecued chicken. I think I'm going to shred it and make BBQ chicken sandwiches with it. Don't know if I will make again.

Chicken Cheese Ball

This is a great shower or get together item. I am always asked for the recipe everytime I make it. Make sure that the cream cheese softens well, or it will be hard to mix. I always serve it with wheat thins and club crackers.

Mom's Cucumber Salad

Made this for Easter dinner, was looking for some easy things I could do ahead of time. Made the night before so it could marinate. Opened it up to stir it the next morning and was suprised at the amount of liquid in the bowl. It definitely was alot more than when I first mixed it with the cucumbers. Didn't know if I did something wrong, but everyone said it was really good. Will make again, but don't know what I could do different other than not make it so far ahead.

Texas Chicken Quesadillas

Got rave reviews from DH and friends tonight. I took Michelle's suggestion about cooking them on the stovetop, and they came out great!! The only thing I did different is putting the chicken in the slow cooker with the bbq sauce for about 5 hours instead of cooking on the stove. The meat was really easy to shred. Will definitely be making this again. Would be really fun to play around with this and try different ingredients, but is great as is!!

Baked Teriyaki Chicken

We have a new favorite!!!!! This was the best chicken I have ever eaten. Husband and son both loved it also. I used 1/4 cup brown sugar and 1/4 white sugar and added just a splash of pineapple juice. This is definitely going to be a weekly thing at my house. I used boneless skinless breasts, and made sure I brushed with the sauce often as the recipe stated. Try it, I promise you'll love it as much as we did!!

Green Grape Salad

Wonderful!! Would not change a thing. Took this to a shower Sunday, and it was the definite hit of the party! People were practically licking the bowl when it was empty. I put it in a pampered chef chillzane bowl(one that you freeze and it keeps stuff cold), and left it in the freezer for about an hour before serving. I think this made it even better.

Beth's Tex Mex Dip

Added the jalapenos as suggested, and everyone was commenting on how hot it was!! They really liked it, but I will probably make it without the jalapenos next time and see if it is better. Definitely will be making for my next get-together.

Teriyaki Chicken for the Busy Cook

Don't know how I really feel about this one. I had 8 boneless tenderloins, and I used the entire can of soda. I probably should have only used half, b/c some pieces had an overwhelming orange taste. 10 yo son really loved it though, so I will definitely make again. Going to read the reviews again and see what I could do different and maybe improve on this. Definitely worth a try since it was so easy and simple!!
