Oyakodon (Japanese Chicken and Egg Rice Bowl)

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2012
I made according to recipe, ordering the hard to find ingredients online. But it came out too sweet for my taste. If I make it again, I will reduced the brown sugar to half. I also prefer a dish with more veggies.

Italian Sausage Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2012
I made this tonight and it was delicious! I added a chopped onion when I added the garlic; added a chopped potato with the carrots;and a couple ounces of cut spaghetti ten minutes before done (orzo is another option. Had to add an extra cup of stock due to the pasta. I also flavored with oregano. Anyway you fix it, serve with grated parmesan cheese.

Spicy Lemon Pork Saute

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2012
the concept was good, but I didn't care for the blend of flavors. I may experiment with a different blend of flavors, maybe mustard or italian flavors.

Swiss Chard with Garbanzo Beans and Fresh Tomatoes

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2012
Very tasty and easy. I used canned diced tomatos and sweet onions instead of shallots and green onions, and also added garlic.

Pan-Roasted Chicken with Lemon-Garlic Brussels Sprouts and Potatoes

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2014
I omitted the bacon (because I didn't have any), used boneless breasts, new potatoes, and Meyers lemons. It came out great!! Even better the next day.

Ground Beef and Cabbage

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2013
I couldn't bring myself to boil ground meat, so I sauteed the onions, garlic, and beef in a pan with the herbs; then added the cabbage and tomatoes, covered and cooked for 30 minutes. I served with polenta and sprinkled with parmesan cheese.
