Vicki's Hush Puppies

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2014
Made as stated except I added 2% milk, without the milk would have been impossible to make. Also made in a deep fryer.

Truly Delicious Brussels Sprouts

I cannot believe these tasted as good as they did. Husband said he hated brussel sprouts but he would try, at the end we were scraping out the last bits from the bowl. Thank you so much. Followed the recipe exactly.

Tomato-Cream Sauce for Pasta

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2010
Loved the sauce, all I changed was using fat free half and half then adding some flour at the end to thicken it up. DH raved about it, served it over chicken parm.

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2010
So good! Must leave out the salt and add the nutmeg. Since we have a lot of tomatoes from our garden I only used one can of crushed tomatoes then cut up 6 or 7 from the garden, also must use the fresh herbs. This was so good hubby said it's the best he's ever had, the second time I made it and made the aboce changes. Again don't use any salt it's not needed.

Really good, hubby loved it. only think I changed was I used whipping cream instead of milk, and I brushed butter on the inside of the crust and the top of the crust. Also added the garlic salt as others suggest. Will make again and again.

Cream Cheese Frosting II

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2010
This is the best frosting I have ever tasted. I didn't us the vanilla and I did not sift the sugar and it was still perfect. I let the cream cheese (kroger brand) and butter get to room temp, then used my trusty Kitchen aid mixer to do the work. It was perfect, easy to spread, carrot cake looks wonderful.

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2010
This was the best tasting bread ever, it really does make 3 loaves, I took two to work and had people begging me for the recipe, I added nuts and sprinkled sugar and cinnamon on top, otherwise the changes I made were, 2 cups brown sugar 1 cup white, 1 stick of butter, 1/4 cup of applesauce, 1/4 cup veg. oil (not a big fan of veggie oil)I am going to try to use it to make a pumpkin roll now.

Famous Pork Chops

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2007
Loved this recipe, I never make porkchops because mine always turn out so dry but I figured anything cooked in butter couldn't be that bad. I agree with the others it's best to flash fry them to get a nice color and to keep this moist. The hubby could not stop raving about them. I will be making these again and again.
