Dilled Shrimp Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2013
Big hit. Added to my permanent collection. Changes: Used only 1 tsp lime juice. Also used half-fat mayo and fat free greek yogurt instead of the full-fat mayo.

Banana Banana Bread

A really simple, delicious recipe. I substituted all of the butter with apple sauce. I used brown sugar instead of white sugar. And I added some blueberries :)

New Wife Tuna Salad

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2011
This recipe is incredible. Like the egg salad, I used to do this wrong and my husband would turn away from it. After following this recipe, I barely even got to eat my own tuna salad... husband stole it and finished all of it. I had to make another batch the next day - which he also stole and finished!

Delicious Egg Salad for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2011
I used to always mess up my egg salad and husband wouldn't touch it. Then I tried this recipe, and he asked for more, and then proceeded to finish it all!! This is a keeper for me! Excellent egg salad sandwich. (To avoid the problem of having the salad become watery, I just wiped them dry after peeling and before chopping them up.)

My Best Clam Chowder

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2011
Awesome recipe!! I didn't have celery, and I used fresh clams because I had them. Absolutely deelicious. Oh, I also cut a bajillion calories by using skim milk and half the butter. Tasted ama-zing. Really hit the spot.

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2011
Excellent pie. But when I make this again, I'll halve both the sugar and the butter. I found this pie too sweet. I did add cinnamon, vanilla and nutmeg. I used red delicious apples which doesn't need as much sugar.

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2011
Followed the recipe exactly, and it came out perfect. I only added garlic. If I would change anything, I'd add more seasoning... But for a basic home made chicken pot pie, this is a perfect recipe.

This was a super hit! I substituted 1/2 cup apple sauce for the oil and used non-instant vanilla pudding mix (by mistake). This was DELICIOUS! Keeper!

Banana-Date Muffins

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2010
What a great way to use up bananas in a healthy, high-fibre way. This one's a keeper for me. I baked this in a bundt pan and made it a cake and it was super moist and tasty. I substituted: 1/2 cup sugar with 1/4 cup splenda and 1/4 cup sugar. 1/2 cup margarine with 1/2 cup applesauce. 12 dates with 1/2 cup sliced strawberries. For 1/12th of the cake, it's 2 points. Can't beat that!!

The Best Unbaked Cherry Cheesecake Ever

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2008
Absolutely delicious!! I substituted the cherry pie topping with Dark Cherry Preserves/Jam. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it was waaay too sweet. I think 1/2 a cup of sugar would have been enough.

Easy Scalloped Potatoes

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2004
I had a really bad time with this recipe. After following the recipe and cooking this for the recommended time, I was surprised to open a dish of raw sliced potatoes floating in milk. I put it in the oven for 2 more hours and then 2 more and had a really unpleasant potato cake (not fully cooked). I'm not sure, but I think the potatoes need to be partly cooked before slicing and layering. And then add cheese sauce (??). Quite an unpleasant experience. Lots of potatoes and cheese wasted.

Crab Rangoon I

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2003
Superb Recipe! Me, my mom and my boyfriend ate till our stomachs we ready to burst!! For me this was a very unique taste. Glad I tried it. I also added to the mixture some hot red peppers and I halved the soysauce because of what the other reviewers said. And also because I couldn't find wonton wrappers I just wrapped them in spring roll wrappers.

Apple Banana Cupcakes

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2003
This is the best Banana muffin I've made yet!!! But I did make some changes: 1.I added 1/2 tsp. baking powder, 2.substituted fat-free yogurt for buttermilk (because I didn't have any), 3.Chopped the apples, 4.I added 1/8 cup sugar to separated egg whites and whipped it till it formed soft peaks. The step 4 made the muffins INCREDIBLY moist and DELICIOUS!!! Thanks for this wonderful recipe!!!
