Cherry Cobbler I

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2003
This is the yummiest ooey gooey cobbler i have ever made. Usually i do berries or fruit topped with cake batter...but this pudding cake kinda way with pouring over the water mixture just sets everything together...VERY good. I used fresh sweet cherries...and cut back the sugar to half of what was called for and it was sweet enough with the dark cherries. A hit for sure...and i will be experimenting with different berries and fruit fillings. Thanks a bunch.

Lighter Banana Muffins

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2011
These muffins are really good, they tend to be a bit chewy as they contain no fat, but a great muffin all the same. I did as others suggested and added a snack size container of applesauce as well as an extra banana along with vanilla and cinnamon. I sprinkled the tops with brown sugar and only added 1/2 cup sugar to the recipe and they are sweet enough. A great recipe.

Tangy Four-Bean Salad

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2008
Very good bean salad, almost identical to the style in the deli that we like. I omitted the peppers and mushrooms and didnt have cider vinegar, so only used regular white. It was good, i think i will try it again with the cider vinegar, as it was missing a little tanginess.

Banana Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2003
This muffin is fantastic! I love banana muffins but hubby isn't too fond of them usually but with the yummy topping he gobbles em up. I ended up with a perfectly perfect light and fluffy 9 muffins. A great change from the old banana chip recipe i usually use. Will make these again and maybe even try putting some choc chips in them too. Nuts added to the topping would be good too. Thanks for such a great recipe!

Excellent Broccoli Cheese Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2012
This is the best Broccoli Cheese soup i have ever made. I think the idea of making the cream soup and then adding the broccoli makes it the best. I can now use this base cream soup recipe for any flavor of soup i wish. Thanks for sharing a great recipe.

Chile Garlic BBQ Salmon

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2012
Very tasty baked fish. I baked in the oven and used a whole salmon with slice marks going through the top of it. I thought it would be a bit strong, but the flavor really mellowed and was great. Used the leftover salmon for sandwiches the next day and my husband said they were the best ever.

This is a great recipe for using up leftover turkey and makes a really comforting meal. I used mozza cheese in stead of parmesan, as that is what i had and it was very tasty. Thanks for sharing such a great recipe.

Fresh Southern Peach Cobbler

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2008
This is a great comfort food, my family raved about it. My only issue is that it is a bit on the runny side but could have been the juicyness of the fruit. I have made it twice and loved it.

These muffins were very moist and tender. I did use a bit of canola oil mixed with applesauce to lighten it up. Very tasty.

This was a great hit on xmas morning. I omitted the green onions and instead added chopped sauteed onions and bacon instead of ham. It was awesome!
