Easy Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2013
Seriously - the best cookies I have ever eaten in my life. This is exactly how I want a cookie to taste. The Boyfriend is not a sweets guy and he ate 3 and would have eaten more if I hadn't moved the plate. I read the reviews posted and here is how I adapted it: Used Devil's food Chocolate cake (Pillsbury, moist)and white chocolate chips. used barely 1 cup of chips, doubled the vanilla and added a teaspoon of oil. refrigerated the dough for about 30 minutes, Baked for 10 and let them sit on the cookie sheet to finish baking. I only got 24 cookies out of the batch. Guess my version of a rounded teaspoon is a little large! Tomorrow I will do a yellow cake with milk chocolate chips! Thanks for the amazing recipe!!

Hearty Split Pea Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2012
I must confess - I am not the greatest cook and I don't always enjoy the process or the results but I have been trying out some crock pot recipes form this sight - trying to spread my wings a bit. Split Pea soup is pretty much my favorite most food on the planet. So this morning I loaded up my crock pot with the items (as written except no carrots - Boyfriend won't eat a cooked carrot and I added 2 cups of chicken broth) - doubling all the items so I could have lots of soup. When I got home about 6 hours later (cooking on low), I panicked when I peeked in and saw burnt onions. Went to stir it and it was green clay. I forgot to double the water. This recipe is so amazing that I was able to pour in the extra water and let it cook for another couple hours and it was amazing!!!! The perfect soup, even with the smokey flavor!!
