Six Can Chicken Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2003
It was good, but not great. I found a recipe for taco soup that you cook in the crockpot that is much better than this. Anyhow, I am not going to use canned chicken again. I will use just good old regular cooked chicken breast. I would also add a package of taco seasoning. I added garlic this last go around, and I think I will add alot more next time, since we love garlic in this house. Thanks for the recipe. Happy Holidays.

Best Brownies

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2003
OH MY GOD! Can you say diabetic shock? These are the best brownies this family has ever had. They are so rich and moist, and perfect. I did what other people did, I added a little milk to the frosting to make it spread easier. I think next time I am going to add an 8oz package of cream cheese to the frosting, so it will have less chocolate flavor, and I will add 1/2 cup of chopped walnuts. Thank you for this wonderful recipe.

The Whole Jar of Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2003
My boyfriend like them alot. I really didn't care for them. I have had better. I will not make these again. I will continue to look for a better one. The only reason i give it three stars, is because the old man liked them. Maybe I should only give them two stars...

Slow Cooker Barbeque

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2003
It was perfect. I used whole cloves of garlic, about 10. I also added half of a yellow onion. I used Bullseye honey garlic to start the roast off with. 30 minutes before it was done, I pulled the roast, drained the juice. While I did that task, my boyfriend shredded the beef. IT JUST FELL APART. FABULOUS. I placed the shredded beef back into the crockpot and added another bottele of Bullseye original flavor and let it cook on high for 30 minutes. We served it on hoagie rolls, and with coleslaw. It was the best. I wish I wouldv'e found this recipe in the summer time, it would be so perfect. Thankyou for such a great dish. Peace.:)

If I could give this five more stars, I WOULD. Big hit at my house. Had company over and made this dish real quick, and it was great. I will keep the dish a secret though. Thank you for a great dessert. Have a good one.

Slow Cooker Taco Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2003
WOW! My house smelled so good. I added some chopped garlic to "kick it up a notch". It was a big hit when nine people came to help us move into our new house. We topped with sour cream, cheese, and blue corn chips. Best soup ever. Thank you for such a great recipe.

Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff I

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2003
I did just as the recipe called for. However, I added some mushrooms. I also cooked the egg noodles al dente, and then added them to the crock pot to absorb some of that juice. Then added the cream cheese. OH MY GOD. It was wonderful. Next time I make this I am going to throw some whole cloves of garlic in it. That will "KICK IT UP A NOTCH". Enjoy.

Mexican Rice II

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2003
Awsome. Very light and fluffy. I thought my rice wasn't puffy enough, and I thought it was ruined, but I finished it anyway. It turned out perfect. I am going to use some chilie powder next time to make it spicy. I also will use Jasmine Rice next time. Jasmine is a very good rice. It is so light and fluffy. Perfect for making this dish. I like to serve it with my chicken enchiladas recipe that I got off this webdsite. I also will serve it with tacos, and burritos. Thank you for this recipe. It is a family favorite.

Chicken Enchiladas II

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2003
Excellent. I have made this delite several times. I use 1 tbl spoon of minced garlic, and 1 tbl spoon of taco seasoning when I cook the chicken. It adds a kick to the dish once it is finished. I also use a little more chicken than what it called for. I use white onions instead of green onions. And after this dish comes out of the oven, I throw on some black olives, and some fresh tomatoes. YUMMY. I serve with some spanish rice, and we have a meal in less than an hour. Plus, we have leftovers. Thank you Steph.

Florentine Artichoke Dip

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2003
This is a party favorite. People beg me to bring this dish to outings. I take that extra time and chop fresh garlic, and grate that fresh parmesean cheese. Everybody seems to prefer Ritz crackers over the tortilla chips. Also, after I pull this delite from the oven I sprinkle more parmesean cheese over the top. Why go half way with this dish? I used the regular cream cheese, and mayo. I figure its a treat, why cut out the calories? Like my mom always said, "The more calories, the better." Thank you Stephanie. Enjoy everybody!

Cheesy Ham and Hash Brown Casserole

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2003
This is a wonderful casserole. The first time I made this dish my boyfriend thought it was too rich. He decided to give it one more try. I made it this past weekend. He loved it. Instead of using the sharp cheddar, I used medium cheddar. I also added 1/4c red bell peppers, 1/4c green bell peppers, and 1/4c onions, and 1/4c mushrooms. Also after I serve this onto a plate, I grate some fresh parmesean cheese to give it a little kick. The peppers added such a wonderful flavor to this dish. This is going to be a favorite for a long time. Enjoy. Thank you Melissa!

Cowboy Cookies III

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2003
Wonderful cookies. Best cookies I have ever made. They are so soft and chewy. I used 3/4c of both sugars and 3/4c butter, and since I am a chocolate addict, I used 2c of chocolate chips. I don't have a nice cookie sheet. I think it is older than me, and these treats turned out perfect. I used a little more dough than a teaspoon full and I baked them for 10 minutes. Thank you for this great recipe. I will for sure make this treat in the near future.
