About this Cook
I am a stay at home mom with 3 boys, ages 9,7,and 3 who have lots of energy. I started learning to cook when I caught an episode of Rachael Ray's 30 minute meals and thought I can do that and that was about 5 years ago. Now I love to cook and enjoy trying to recreate recipes I would have in a restaurant that can be made much cheaper at home.
My favorite things to cook
Anything spicy. I also love to bake.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love all the holidays. Making the ham and the turkey are always fun using different recipes.
My cooking triumphs
When people have nothing but excellent things to say about my food and hoping they are not lying, it always makes me feel good.
My cooking tragedies
trying to make cheese sticks and my own pizza. I have not master that at all.

Bacon for the Family or a Crowd
I have been making my bacon like this for years but I love to rub on some brown sugar. Yum!! Just keep an eye on it as with the brown sugar it can burn quicker and take it off the foil right when it comes out of the oven, drain on paper towels and remove right away to a plate b/c it will stick and break if you wait to long to take it off.

Carrot Cake III
I have made this recipe twice,once for Christmas and just this past Easter(in shape as a bunny) and it is always a winner. It is so moist and delicious that I did not have any left overs. Thankyou for this recipe.

German Pancake with Buttermilk Sauce
The syrup is by far the best syrup I have ever made. I have been making it since last year. I always have some made in the fridge. Thanks!!
