Toll House Pie I

I used a ready made crust in a deep pie dish and did not have any run over. I left out the nuts on purpose and only used a half cup butter on accident and it still turned out wonderful! My four year old daughter said it is "awesome". It tastes like the derby pies my Mom made when I was growing up.

Buckeye Balls II

This is my first try at these. They turned out great. I did make a few changes. I used 3 cups of powdered sugar right out of the box. I do not have a sifter. I was afraid this would make the texture a little grainy but it did'nt. They turned out very smooth and creamy. I just made sure to knead the dough really well. I doubled the chocolate and used half milk chocolate and half semi sweet. I melted it in the microwave with the shortening. I dipped the entire ball in the chocolate and used the extra chocolate to drizzle the tops. They turned out very pretty. I made these for gifts if I can keep my family out of them! They are a little time consuming but well worth the effort.

Super-Easy Rocky Road Fudge

This is easy. I don't care much for marshmallows in my fudge but I had to give it five stars for the ease of preparation. I will continue to make this because my husband and daughter really loved it. Next time I will also try making some plain. I used pecans instead of walnuts because we don't really care for walnuts. When cut these looked really pretty for my gift tins.

Bill's Sausage Gravy

I am a southern girl who has never even attempted to make gravy. I just thought I'll leave that to grandma. I've always heard how difficult it is to make gravy, it's lumpy, too thin, too thick etc. Well this is the first recipe I've ever tried and the only one I'll ever use. I still can't believe how easy it is! It actually tasted like grandmas! My husband was even surprised. Its not every day you find recipes like these that take you home again. Thank you Bill! By the way I did'nt have whole milk so I used skim and there was no problem at all.

Cocktail Meatballs I

Baked Ziti II

Pizza Pinwheels

I served these as a meal with a salad. They are fattening enough by themselves! I took others advice and put them in the freezer for awhile before cutting them. I sprinkled them with parmesan cheese and they baked golden brown. I used my pampered chef pizza stone and crusts always turn out perfect with it.

Cheeseburger Soup I

This is a very rich and filling soup. I served it with hot rolls. It was perfect for this cool rainy day. I used light velveeta and shredded hasbrown potatoes because they were quicker. It turned out great, I will make this again.

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Wonderful! These bake up just like a big thick cookie you would buy at your local bakery. They are the prettiest chocolate chip cookies I have made and they taste great. I only used 1 cup of chocolate chips. That was plenty and they were still gooey with chocolate.

Caramel Snack Mix

This is so easy and taste great! I will make again but will make some changes next time. I used slivered almonds and chopped pecans. Next time I will use whole. They kind of fall to the bottom of the mix. Also I will add some salted peanuts to add a little more salty to the mix. I used crispix but I'm sure corn and rice chex would be great too.

Sausage Brunch Casserole

Wonderful and easy to make. I used a cheddar monterey blend of cheese. Also only used one pound of sausage. That was plenty. Baked in a stone baking dish and it came out perfect. Next time I will add some peppers and onions as others have suggested just for a change.

Restaurant-Style Buffalo Chicken Wings

Pineapple Pretzel Salad

This is wonderful. My husband likes it better than the pretzel salad with strawberries and jello on top. I must say I do too! I accidently used 2 blocks of cream cheese, the recipe only calls for one. But we really liked it and I will continue to make it that way.

Kentucky Pecan Pie

This is a great recipe for pecan pie. The only change I made was adding more pecans. 1 cup did not look like enough. I used pecans from my mother in laws pecan trees. They make all my recipes taste so good! My Mother said it is the best pecan pie shes ever tasted.
