Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2013
Very tasty! I didn't have raspberry preserves and used strawberry jam instead turned out great. This was better than store bought.

Roasted Asparagus with Balsamic Vinegar

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2013
Asparagus was on sale and in season at the grocery store yeah! This recipe was very good and oh so easy. I hadn't thought about putting balsalmic on asparagus but it was really good. I sprinkled some dried cranberries and pine nuts and tossed with the asparagus prior to baking just to jazz it up. Roasting with these additions turned out really nice. I think the olive oil was a little heavy and I think next time I'll use just 1 Tblsp. I also used a sheet pan suggested by another reviewer. I will make this again.

Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff I

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2013
Very tasty and oh so simple. Gave this five stars because it was so quick. You just toss the ingrediants in and 5 hours later on high yiuve got dinner. I did change it up but the was a good base recipe. I used beef broth instead of water, onion soup mix instead of onions (my fiance hates onions), and I didn't have cream of mushroom so I used cream of celery. This was a big hit the meat just fell apart.

The Best Lemon Bars

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2013
Very good but I think next time I'll double the lemon filling amount for a thicker bar. I followed the recipe exactly but I used 3 lemons for about 2/3cup lemon juice and substituted a 1/2cup flour for 1/2 cup ground flax for the crust to try and make them healthier. Also I used whole wheat flour. Very yummy, I will definately make these bars again. This recipe was very quick and easy.

Barbie's Tuna Salad

Reviewed: May 14, 2013
This is very good. This was my first time using curry powder in anything and I loved it. I did use the larger can of tuna, also I used a lot less mayo more like 2 Tbls its just a personal preference. Also I had a cucumber in the fridge so I peeled and cubed it for some added crunch. I will definitely make this again. I think next time I will add celery and maybe cubed red pepper too. Also my mom suggested using canned chicken with these ingredients too I think it would be good.

Cool Cucumber and Avocado Salad

Reviewed: May 14, 2013
Loved this recipe. I originally was going to pair this with chicken tacos but I ended up rolling it in a wheat wrap and eating it without the chicken it was so good. Very flavorful, you can't go wrong with fresh lime and cilantro. I think next time I might add a can of corn too.

Oven Barbecued Chicken and Potatoes

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2013
Loved this recipe. It was very easy to make no more than 10 minutes cutting the potatoes and mixing the bbq sauce on the stove then pour over the chicken and bake. It came out really moist the potatoes were perfect and the chicken was falling apart. Family loved it.

Baked Soy Lemon Chops

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2013
Yumm! Very easy to prepare, I use low sodium soy sauce to cut down on the saltiness. I've made this twice know the first time I followed the recipe perfectly. I baked it and it turned out great, was really good, and the family loved it. The second time I made this I accidentally put 1/2 cup of lemon juice instead of 2 Tbls, whoopps. So I let it marinate in the fridge for about 4 hours then grilled the chops instead of baking them in the marinade and wow it was even better, the flavors were way more potent but not overpowering.

Aunt Teen's Creamy Chocolate Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2011
This fudge is fantastic!! I have never made fudge and I didn't know it was this easy. The only thing I did different was instead 2 cups milk chocolate chips, I did 1 cup milk chocolate and 1 cup butterscotch chips. This stuff is delicious.

Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2011
This was absolutely delicious!! I used this recipe as a base and made a few changes and it came out great. I used pearl onions instead of one large onion, they are a pain to peel but I love that they are bite sized. I didn't have an Italian dressing packet so I used 1 ts dried basil, 1 ts dried marjoram, and 1 ts dried thyme, someone gave me one of those dried spice racks for Christmas years ago so I've been looking for an excuse to use these spices. Also instead of whisking together the spices, gravy mix, and ranch packets with water I used a can of cream of celery that I had in the cupboard. Then I filled the crock pot with beef broth maybe like a cup or two so the roast was still poking through. I used washed and peeled baby carrots so much easier and I love carrots so I used a 2lb bag. I cooked on high for four hours I don't think it was as tender as it could have been but still really good. I served this with mashed potatoes, this was a hit. The gravy the juices made were really good. Thanks for the recipe.
