Mayonnaise Biscuits

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2006
I love these! We use to make them growing up and I had completely forgotten about them until I saw this recipe. They are super easy and turn out well even when using fat free mayo. When you need biscuits fast, this is the recipe to go to.

Ground Beef Enchiladas

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2006
These were very good and very kid friendly. Both nephews loved it. Like the other reviewers I used sour cream instead of yogurt and then made one batch beef and one batch chicken. This is very quick and tasty.

Fish Chowder

I made the recipe as written and thought it was very tasty. The bacon on top is not only attractive, but really adds a nice flavor.

Penne and Vodka Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2005
I also added the two extra garlic cloves and chopped onion. THIS WAS SUPERB. I did cut the amount of pasta in half and next time will probably double the sauce for leftovers. Absolutely restaurant quality.

Chicken and Dumplings III

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2005
I can't believe how tasty this was! I did try the canned biscuits and was not impressed so I fished them out and made real dumplings that I dropped on top. For anyone thinking that this recipe would just taste like condensed soup - TRY IT.

Pizza On The Grill I

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2005
This was absolutely the best pizza I have ever made. The dough was perfect - crisp on the outside and incredibly flavorful on the inside. I followed the recipe as written and it was great. Yum! Yum! Yum!

Beef and Wine Soup with Dumplings

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2005
I love beef, love red wine, and dumplings make me weak in the knees. I thought this would be the perfect soup recipe but it was not even mediocre. I followed the recipe EXACTLY and got a bland soup with so so dumplings. Not worth the ingredients for me.

Cuban Midnight Sandwich

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2004
This is the best sandwich I have ever had. I am not a fan of mayo or pickles but tried them anyway. I now never make this sandwich without both those ingredients. It's fantastic! This recipe is worth all five stars.

Oatmeal Dinner Rolls

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2004
This is the best bread recipe. I made these for the first time on Thanksgiving. They are great on their own but magical with the Honey Butter recipe on this site. My 9 year old nephew ate 5. I have already made them twice this week for coworkers and they have been requested at the family dinner on Sunday. I used regular oats (all I had on hand)and cooked them an extra minute and sifted all my dry ingredients together. The last time I made them I only used a tablespoon of butter and there was no change. No eggs, no oil, minimal butter - THANK YOU SOUTHERN LIVING!

Famous Butter Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2004
Per other reviews I slightly decreased the butter and while it was certainly edible, it wasn't great. It tasted like breaded baked chicken. I did like the Ritz cracker crumbs better than traditional bread crumbs. Personally, I think there are better uses for chicken breasts.

YUMMY-YUMMY-YUMMY- I loved everything about this recipe! The meat was tender and very flavorful and the gravy was incredible on mashed garlic potatoes.

Apple Oatmeal Crisp

This was very good. I substituted Splenda for the white sugar but otherwise followed the recipe exactly. I would make this again.

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2004
This was very good. We never had meatloaf growing up so I wasn't sure if I was going to like it or not. I didn't have a loaf pan so I patted the meat mixture into an 8" square pan. I used ground round and did not think it was too greasy. Thank you, Starbuck!

Crab Stuffed Flounder

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2004
This was quite good. I used imitation crab because it was what I had on hand and I enjoyed every bite. I wasn't sure about the topping ingredients, but they were super. Thank you, Diana!

Chicken and Red Wine Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2004
LOVED IT! I have made this reciepe three times now and it always comes out great. I only used two chicken breasts so I reduced the brown sugar to 1/4 cup but used the full amount of wine called for. The sauce was excellent with rice. Thank you, Robin!

Slow Cooker Maple Country Style Ribs

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2004
I followed the recipe exactly and it seemed to lack flavor. BF put them on the grill after the slowcooker and that improved them somewhat - along with a with a liberal splash of BBQ sauce.
