Baked French Toast
Soooooo yummy! I used 1 cup skim (all I had) about 1/4 cup fat fee half and half and 3/4 cup light egg nog (again what I had in the fridge with 6 egg beaters. It did cook closer to 1 hr, but I used challa bread. For the topping I used part pure maple Sugar crystals instead of the Karo syrup and just a swirl if maye syrup. I didn't have quite enough butter in hand, but it still came out delicious. Granted I changed a lot, but I'm not sure what these critical reviews are about. If you don't like it custard like them let up in the liquid and cook it longer. It's a matter if preference, not a problem with the underlying recipe.

Eggnog Quick Bread
So yummy, and I even used light egg nog and egg beaters! I would just go a little light on the rum flavor unless you REALLY like it.

Boston Cream Pie II
The cake was a buttery yellow; I did have to use butter vs. shortening. I thought it was delicious. The pastry cream was good as well, but I did a second trial if another recipe that I thought was better. The ganache was not good. Taste way too much like powdered sugar. Next time I would just buy it for the amount if work it took to just be ok.
