Asian Beef with Snow Peas

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2012
Very tasty. I agree with those who have said to double the sauce though. My sauce didn't thicken but it could be old cornstarch. And if you don't like ginger, I think it can just be left out. The brown sugar sweetens up the soy sauce just fine.

Cindy's Coleslaw

Extremely easy to make. I used Lite mayo and reduced it to 3/4ths a cup because I don't like a *lot* of mayo, and also used rice vinegar because I didn't have any cider vinegar, but because store bought coleslaw is so unhealthy and mayo crammed, it's a great substitute with barely any effort at all.

Slow Cooker Chicken Pot Pie Stew

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2014
The end result was very good and tasted like chicken pot pie filling. To make it lower in fat I used the 98% fat free cream of chicken soup which I think made it a little thinner than most stews but didn't detract from it. I DID however, just based on gut feeling, decrease the amount of ground black pepper from 1 TABLESPOON to 1 TEASPOON and that was good for me. I like pepper taste but not the overt spiciness that can come from it.

Swanson® Greek-Style Beef Stew

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2014
The only thing I didn't care for about the recipe is that it needed salt badly... I did use lower sodium broth and also lower sodium V8 just because that is what I had bought at the store but it really lacked with no salt. As well, I did add some cornstarch to thicken the broth because it was watery... not gravy-like, like the picture seems to show. So next time, I'll try those two things. The cinnamon/cloves flavor adds something unique... just not the enhancement of salt.
