Stuffed Shells

I really enjoyed this recipe. I made just a few changes and additions. I substituted ricotta cheese for the cottage cheese, and added some garlic and a little salt to the spinach mixture. I also only used one red bell pepper, as I think two would have been overwhelming. It turned out really well - my whole house loved it.

Chocolate Pound Cake III

I didn't have any buttermilk, so I used a cup of soy milk instead. I also didn't use coffee - I used some creme de cocoa liquor - about 1/3 cup. It's very tasty!

Like other uses, I used Meyers Dark Rum. I put it over french toast, with a bit of fresh whipped cream. Excellent!

Vanilla Glaze

Excellent. I am horrible at making icings and frostings, and this one worked perfectly for me. I did add just a little more milk, because I wanted to thin down the icing just a bit. The only problem with this recipe is that it says it makes 48 servings - that's ridiculous. I made a double batch to cover one 10X13 of cinnamon rolls.

French Onion Dip From Scratch

I love this. My husband especially loved it! I changed up a few things, based on our tastes. First, I used chopped garlic with the onions. I added the chopped garlic when I had a minute or two left with cooking the onions. I used maybe a 1/2 T. I took the advice of others and used 1/2 c of sour cream and 1/2 a block of cream cheese, which made the dip really creamy. It turned out amazingly well. I agree with everyone else - this stuff is way better than what you can buy in the store.

Garlic Sauteed Artichokes

This was fantastic! I did two things differently: 1) I added about another 1/4 cup of water at around 5 minutes left to cook, and 2) I added a very, very small amount of cooking sherry to the pan when I added the second round of water. The artichokes were perfectly tender and wonderful! It is surprising to me that other people say theirs took so much longer to cook!

Greek Orzo Salad

I made it exactly as the recipe said, except maybe just a little bit less red onion. I didn't do as the other responders did and add balsamic vinegar or anything. I wanted to try it as posted first. I don't think I'll ever change it. This is a very fresh, light, yummy and beautiful salad!
