When the pie first came out of the oven, it was very tart and I didn't think it was going to be edible. However, after it set in the refrigerator over night, it was wonderful the next day. Still a bit tart, but perfect for my tastes. I had to crumble it together and mix with brown sugar for my husband to eat it, but he's picky. My mom absolutely loved the recipe and wants me to make it again. So this is definitely going in my recipe box! The only reason it didn't get 5 stars is because I do expect apple pie to be sweeter.
