To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2006
This was a great muffin recipe. I ended up using just a smidge more milk as the batter seemed too thick. I heavily sprayed my muffin pan with Pam and had no issue getting them out. UPDATE: I made these with frozen raspberries and they were delicious. I coated the very frozen raspberries in flour and folded them in right before I put the batter in the muffin cups- so good!

Cream Cheese Chocolate Chip Bars

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2006
I baked these at 350 for 45 minutes. They were a little gooey but when cut with a hot knife not "uncuttable". They were rich and yummy and tasted like I had slaved all day over them!

Mom's Applesauce Pancakes

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2006
very good. I did have to add a little more milk. I did also just have Bisquick on hand so I used that. Even my non-liking pancake husband thought these were good.

Cherry Pound Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2005
Slightly dry. I baked it for 65 min. I might try it again and only go 55 minutes. It was a dense cake, I may end up using it in trifle recipes as it could hold up well.

Bacon Pie

This was a very good, basic recipe. I did have to bake it about 15 minutes longer then called for.

Round Steak Sauerbraten

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2005
Disappointing. I am not sure if my vinegar was too strong or my tastes just off but it was way to tangy for us. Tasted more like vingegar then anything. Also the recipe made a vary small amount.

Rhubarb Crunch

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2005
I would have given this recipie 5 stars if it would have had the suggestions from previous reviewers. As it is written, I have not made it. I did make this- I used 4 cups of rhubarb and 12 oz. frozen strawberries, I also increased the flour to 4 T. I made the crust as is and served it with vanilla ice cream. It was a huge hit and I am making it again, 2 days later! I made this recipe a second time using some fresh peaches. It was great.

Feta Cheese Turkey Burgers

Reviewed: May 31, 2005
These were very moist. I made the mistake of using frozen ground turkey and next time will use fresh as they were almost too moist to grill. Everyone LOVED them.

Egg and Sausage Casserole

Quick and easy but a little too much cheese and not enough egg for my family.

Very good salad. The dressing was a little dry for us so I added a little milk.

Actually Delicious Turkey Burgers

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2005
I thought these were great. I added a little diced green pepper and then topped them with fat free sour cream mixed with a greek spice. I put them on whole wheat buns. Yummy. I do think next time I will add a piece of lettuce for crunch as my meat adoring hubby thought they were still a little too "soft" in texture.

This was delicious. I couldn't find that type of dressing so I used a roasted red pepper one. I also used a whole wheat tortilla. MMMMmmmm good lunch!

Amber's Devils on Horseback

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2005
I found this recipe a nice change from the often heavier recipes that use scallops. My husband thought it was a bit "too lemony" and next time I will substitute white wine for the lemon juice. I served it with wild rice and peas.

Cha Cha's White Chicken Chili

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2005
I did end up using the blender on the beans as it just seemed "too beany" for my family to eat. The consitancy was good then and it did thicken the soup. The flavor was also ok but it is not a dish I will make again. I am still looking for the perfect white chili.

Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2005
Very tasty! I really enjoyed this dish and I am usually not a "fish fan". The taste was very mild and not fishy at all. I used light miracle whip, and reduced fat parm. I also followed some suggestions and used Old Bay instead of the herbs. A very quick main dish to make. I will be making this again.

Land of Nod Cinnamon Buns

These were very good and easy to make. I actually let mine rise a little too long so I would suggest about 9 hours depending on the temp. of your house.
