This is comfort food at my house. As my husband will not touch anything with onions I substituted 4-5 cloves of crushed garlis for some flavor and added more pepper. Tried this once with broccoli florets added and my little girl demanded 2 bowls! To lower the salt I omit the salt and add "Better Than Bouillon" instead of the granules. They have a lower salt version that is very good in this recipe. Perfect!

Slow Cooker Beef Stew I

I'm sorry to say that this did not turn out anywhere near what I expected. The meat turned into mush and there was little flavor. My 7 year old wouldn't even eat it.

Garlic Chicken

My husband and 5 year old loved this! I made it without the bread crumbs and used less oil. I served it with rice pilaf on the side. My little one never asks for seconds but got them tonight. Yeah! Definately a recipe I'll use again.

I will definately use this recipe again. My husband couldn't believe how good this was. My 6 year old asked for seconds (that never happens)! They ask for it weekly now.

Banana Pudding II

I was making this recipe for a church potluck and was very disappointed. It turned out very runny (even when put in the fridge overnight). I did get some good ideas on layering it though. Here's a tip for you novices. After you cut your bananas dip them quick into lemon juice. I know it sounds crazy but it will prevent them from turning brown and make a prettier presentation.

German Apple Cake I

This cake was pretty easy to make and everyone loved it. I made this for my 1st grader's school party. The teachers said it was waisted on the kids though. Something about 6 year olds not appreciating good food? I had to make it again because I didn't even get any. Thanks for the recipe!
