Roasted Garlic Lemon Broccoli

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2008
Excellent! The seasonings and roasting really brings out the flavour in the broccoli. This whips up so fast, and makes an excellent side-dish. Definitely a new regular on our table!

Chocolate Chip Muffins I

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2003
I'm sorry, Julia, but these muffins just don't seem to work out!! I agree with past reviews: they were far too wet and took a verrry long time to bake. Too much liquid wasn't the only problem, though. They just seemed "off", even though the flavor wasn't too awful. Sorry. :(

Chocolate Turtle Cheesecake II

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2003
I got this EXACT recipe in the mail, and I was searching this site to find a better one when I came across this. Thought I should leave a warning for future users... The bottom layer is great (if not a little hard), but the top layer is runny. It melted despite being in the fridge. I think it needs more cream cheese. We had to freeze it just for it to stick together. NOT recommended. Find another recipe!

Grandma's Slow Cooker Vegetarian Chili

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2007
FIVE STARS! I'd give this recipe 6 stars if I could. Hands down one of the most delicious (and EASY) meals I've ever made. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Some notes: - It makes A LOT. I had to split it into 2 batches to fit in my 3qt slow cooker - black beans can replace the black bean soup and it will still taste awesome - there isn't a lot of liquid here. We actually ate it on plates instead of from bowls - makes a GREAT chip dip for corn chips - would be awesome in burritos Simply a wonderful recipe that I will be making again and again. BRAVO!

Strawberry Romaine Salad I

Yay! Great tasting, easy recipe! There was a little bit too much sauce, but other than that, it was grrreat! Bravo!

Amazing Simple Thai Tofu

Reviewed: May 22, 2006
Yum! We made this one tonight and I was pleased to find a fast and flavourful dinner, that is also quite healthy! The changes I made: - used peanut sauce instead of peanut butter - used garlic instead of green onions - added some green curry paste (about a tsp) Next time we will cook the tofu a little more before adding the sauces, as we like it quite crispy. We cooked it longer this time to crisp it up, but it dried up the sauce in the process! A great, simple recipe that I will be tailoring and using again! Thanks!

Bell Pepper and Lemon Salmon

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2007
Delicious and FULL of flavour! We used very fresh salmon which made the recipe that much more perfect. Definitely include some capers if you have them for a boost of flavour.

Ginger Steak

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2007
These steaks had an excellent flavour! We used a cheaper cut of meat, but they were still tasty with this marinade. The only thing I changed was dredging the steaks in salt, then washing them off before marinating. Yum!

Fluffy Canadian Pancakes

Great! Nice easy recipe using simple ingredients. And they are fluffy, just as my boyfriend requested! Next time I will add a little bit of vanilla to give them a little extra flavour. Thanks!

Awesome Steak Marinade

Reviewed: May 25, 2003
Really great flavor! Our steaks were too big and we used the leftovers for sandwiches the next day. The flavor still held up and tasted fantastic! Bravo!

Best Beef Dip Ever

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2006
Wow! What a tasty beef dip. My boyfriend absolutely loved it and has been happily taking leftovers to work for lunch! When I asked him if he liked it he said "are you kidding? it's AWESOME!" I'm not a huge soy sauce fan so I halved the soy sauce and added some beef bouillon instead. Also we love garlic, so I went crazy with the garlic. I will be making this again... thank you!

Italian Cheese Loaves

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2006
Excellent! I had to leave out the cheddar and onion powder as we didn't have any... but this was still tasty! I will be making it again and trying different cheese combinations. It's the first bread that actually worked for me! Thanks!

Great mix, but quite dry. I had to add lots of extra dressing to moisten it up.

We didn't have any pita bread, so we wrapped these in flour tortillas! They were great! We will be making these again (hopefully with pitas next time!). Thanks, Itsie!

Potato and Cheese Frittata

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2007
Simple, quick and delicious! I slice the potatoes thinly instead of shredding them, and I add a little cooked bacon between the potatoes and eggs before baking. Otherwise, I made no other changes and this is delicious! A great Sunday morning treat. Thanks!

Asian Tuna Patties

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2007
Tasty and flavourful! A great way to add more fish to our diet. I followed the recipe exactly, except that I fried them in peanut oil, and added extra garlic because we are garlic-lovers! Definitely worth trying if you like tuna. :)

Classic Bran Muffins

This recipe is a blessing! I made a batch a few weeks ago and we ate them in a couple of days. Absolutely wonderful, moist, flavourful muffins! I just made them for the second time... and I tripled the recipe! They taste awesome. This is going to be a staple in our diet. Thanks a million!
