Easiest Peanut Butter Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2014
Yum! Absolutely delicious, & I have made many confections! Took the advice of others, added a full cup of peanut butter & cut down 10x sugar to 3 Cups. A keeper for sure!!!

Pumpkin Spice Martini

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2014
Wayyyyyyy too strong, talk about your chest burning & I like my creamy martinis! That's the problem, it wasn't creamy. Definitely needs some cream/half & half & I would probably cut down the vanilla vodka. I only had Pinnacle Whipped on hand, not Stoli Vanilla.

Fabulous Fudge Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2014
Wow, just wow!!! I am an avid dessert maker & this was just what I was looking for!! It was dense , but not too dense, moist & fudgey! What I won't do again is use parchment paper to line the pans (I did two rounds) as it made the sides dent in on parts around the cake. I could have cut the edges, but my 12 year old daughter told me not to. The icing I used was horrible (Fudgey icing on this site) -it was more like a thick glaze!! The deliciousness of the cake itself saved the day!! Try it exactly as is, you won't regret it!!

Caroline's Chocolate Fudge Frosting

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2014
It was runny, even after refrigerating a little, so it was basically a thick glaze. It wasn't very chocolatey, even though I used more chocolate than called for.

Flourless Chocolate Cake I

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2013
I have been baking for about 30 years & I thought this was a good recipe. There is no need for a water bath. Put parchment paper sprayed with Pam in the bottom of a spring form pan. You really don't need to cut it to fit, but the edges with come out sort of scalloped. I used a bag of Nestor's chocolate chips @ about 3 ounces of bittersweet cocoa/oil, as I was out of chips. The only difficult thing about this recipe, is the need for extra hands/bowls. I left 6 eggs lightly beaten out on the counter while I made the other stuff and I microwaved the chocolate with no issues. It might help to use room temperature butter-because the hot sugar cools off a bit & might not melt your butter all the way through. I also substituted Kahlua for the water. I baked it for about 45 mins-perfect. It is very rich-the edges have an ever slight crisp while it's still warm & the whipped mouser texture as you bite into it. We are going to try it cold as well.

Italian Wedding Cookies III

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2011
These were outstanding!!! So easy too!! I rolled them when right out of the off...be careful, still hot!! Then again about 5 minutes later! Confectioners sugar stuck very well, covering the cookie, making it totally white :D They are ALL GONE! Wish it made more, will double next time. Thank you for an amazing recipe!

Easy Devonshire Cream

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2011
Wasn't overly impressed, rather "blah/bland" I decided to add a little more cream cheese, heavy cream, honey, vanilla & a dash of cinnamon. After the additions it was better, sweeter, and probably best be served with some fruit, pretzels, or a dallop on a "not so sweet" muffin, scones etc. I prefer a "clotted" cream...Delish!

Divinity

Messy concoction for someone with OCD like myself. Very sweet, but I think it's supposed to be. My kids loved it. Mine was a soft nougat like candy (kind of reminds me of "zero" bars) We shall see if it gets any harder. Other than that, it's a nice change up from cookies etc. I sprinkled mine with some red & green sugar crystals to be festive :) Also, I used my early Christmas present, a Kitchenaid!

Bread and Celery Stuffing

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2011
I made this for Thanksgiving, & it was absolutely delicious! I probably added a bit more onion due to personal preference, but there were NO leftovers! (Much to my dismay!) I will double it next time. Oh, also used a 1 pound loaf of Wonder buttermilk bread, left out on a cookie sheet overnight into the next day. I kept turning the slices over to ensure even dryness. That's one step I would NOT change :) Enjoy!

Chantal's New York Cheesecake

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2011
THIS WAS DELICIOUS!!! NO cracks even w/o a water bath! The little lumps or bubbles went away..it was just decibel! I am not a big cheesecake fan, not made this for my 14 year old son's birthday, he couldn't say enough wonderful things! My family loved it, friends loved it, I even loves it. Very rich & creamy! Crust was a bit bland, & even used extra butter (maybe some cinnamon next time?) Make this, follow directions, no need for water bath, trust your instincts, you won't regret it! Only one con,PEOPLE KEEP ASKING ME WHEN I AM MAKING ANOTHER ONE!! LOL
