Mom's Baked Egg Muffins

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2012
A really tasy recipe, thank you. I only made 4 of these, one each but we could have easily eaten 2 each, they were so nice. I did overcook my eggs but thought, as they were, they would have been fantastic cold for a picnic. Next time, i twill only cook them for 13 minutes and trust that they are cooked instead of leaving them 15 minutes. Consider this a new family favorite. Oh, I only painted the bread on the inside if the cup, they didnt stick and tasted amazing xxx

Easy Bakewell Tarts

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2012
Why is everyone surprised that these aren't a traditional Bakewell tart?? It clearly states that underneath the title in the authors comments. They are her Grannys quick version. I made some for a bake sale as I had run out of steam making 'traditional' biscotti and 'traditional' danish biscuits. They were super easy to make as you can tell from the ingredients. I 'tarted' them up a little with a teaspoon of almond extract and garnished with some flaked almonds. Thank you for posting x

Fluffy Pancakes

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2012
To be honest these didn't really blow me away :( I followed the instructions to the letter and the batter looked great. It made 10 palm sized pancakes. However, I could taste the baking powder (it did seem a lot for the amount of flour) and despite the large amount of baking powder, they didn't rise as much as my usual recipe. They actually tasted like a basic thick batter, nothing special (unless you like that baking powder after taste).

Cranberry Pistachio Biscotti

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2011
Where do i start?? This is an amazing recipe and i will DEFINITELY be using it again. I wanted to make them so much but had neither pistachio's or cranberries so substituted chocolate chips and flaked almonds. It seems like its quite a robust recipe as they are absolutely gorgeous, despite my changes. I too drizzled with a little icing and they were fab. Thanks so much for this recipe.

Ultimate Maple Snickerdoodles

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2011
Gorgeous! I wasn't really sure what to expect as i have never had a snickerdoodle before but they were delicious. The maple and cinnamon were there but not overpowering. I rolled them in vanilla sugar as I was not really sure what maple sugar is. I will definitely be saving this recipe and making again.

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2011
Beautiful recipe, i cant recommend enough! I was really scared about pouring the caramel over the pastry as i thought it would burn but oh my word, it was fab! Very sweet but that's what i love in a pudding. The only thing i added was a half teaspoon of cinnamon into the syrup. It was absolutely perfect. Thank you so much xxx
