Tail Burner Firehouse French Fries
Although I love to try new recipes from this site, I seldom write reviews and have never written anything negative. However, I felt it was necessary to write about this one. I'm a huge fan of anything hot/spicy and was excited about trying these fries. I followed the ingredient amounts exactly but used 3 tbsp of olive oil instead of the butter (at the suggestion of other reviews). I placed everything in a large ziploc bag and tossed to evenly coat the potatoes. They smelled great while baking, but I was SO disappointed! The spices seemed to overwhelm each other, resulting in just alot of "hot" but not much flavor. I'm not sure what I would change if I try them again but something just wasn't "right" for me. Maybe less red pepper would make the lemon pepper more distinctive. I tried dipping them in ketchup or Ranch dressing and still didn't enjoy them.

Southern Praline Pecan Cake
What a delicious cake recipe! I've made it twice, with only one change. My Bundt cake pan is star-shaped which caused the pecans to cluster in the "points" of the star. Therefore, the second time I made it, I stirred ALL of the pecans into the batter instead of halfing it as instructed. It turned out great either way! I used the exact measurements of oil and water with no problem. I've shared the recipe with at least 5-6 other people because everyone loved it and have been asked to bring at least TWO of the cakes to our family reunion this summer! Thanks for a great recipe!

Tantalizingly Tangy Meatloaf
Excellent meatloaf recipe! I added chopped onion and extra Worcestershire sauce to the meat mixture and it turned out great. Made the topping exactly as shown, including the pineapple preserves that I found at our local grocery store. The sweetness is definitely unique and very delicious. Leftovers were even better the next day! This recipe has replaced my favorite "old fashioned" ketchup-style meatloaf!
