Sour Cream Refrigerator Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2006
These were good. I forgot about the paprika so it didn't get added. I also used fresh chives because that was what was ready for me. I will definately make this again. Thanks for something new.

Only difference is that I used fresh ginger and grated it. We really liked the flavor of these....definately will make again. Thanks for the post.

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2006
This was delicious. I had to give a 4 star rating because I changed it a bit. I put whole garlic cloves into the meat before putting it into the slow cooker. I also added more water because the gravy was too thick. (no idea how much more...eyeballed it). I also reduced the amount of seasonings after reading some of the reviews stating that they were just a little too strong. This will definately be used again in our house. Thanks for the post.

Fluffy Pancakes

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2006
Made these this morning. Hubby got to go into work a little later and my son got up early, so I decided to treat us all to a "real" breakfast this morning. These were delicious and I didn't change a thing. Thanks for the post.

Chip Chicken Lollipops

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2006
Made this for my son for lunch. Daddy had to work and I was off this week because of Christmas. He loved it (2 yrs almost). I will admit that it was a little bland with the plain chips but the bbq chips tasted much better. Son dipped it into ketchup so he didn't mind. Thanks for a fun way to treat my kid to lunch.

Chicken Florentine Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2006
Made a few changes with what I had on hand...I used milk instead of the half and half. I made my own bacon bits and sauteed the chicken in the bacon grease, just a few minutes on each side. Then, put that off to the side and added the mushrooms and the garlic to the pan with just a little butter and olive oil. I deglazed the pan with a splash of white wine and added the soup milk mixture. I forgot all about the lemon juice and reduced the seasonings to 1/2 because of the comments from other reviewers. Baked this for 20 minutes and then added the cheese for another 10 minutes at 350. Served it with Roasted Garlic Wild Rice and it was delicious. Definately a keeper. Thanks for the recipe.

Mini Cheesecakes III

Very good stuff. I do like the vanilla wafer crust better (hence the 4 star rating). I followed the recipe exactly and it was received well. Thanks for the post.

Michelle's Soft Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2006
Yum.yum, yum. Today is cookie making day for the holidays. Each aunt and uncle get a cookie plate and needed a new sugar cookie recipe for them. Glad that I choose this one. I used cookie cuters....my only problem is that they spread just a little more than I would have liked. Delicious though...and I am sure they will be loved. Thanks for the recipe.

Cyclops Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2006
Followed the recipe exactly and they turned out great. I did half with the green and red sugar for decoration and half without. I actually liked the look of the ones without better, but both tasted great. Gonna give these out on my cookie plate for the holidays. Thanks for the recipe.

Holly Christmas Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2006
I like how these turn out. The only problem that I had was that if I made them more than a day before they were going to be eaten....they did get a little soggy. They look great....thanks for the post.

Grilled Salmon With Orange Glaze

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2006
I LOVED this. Hubby thought it was good...but since I do the reviews....I win. I didn't change anything. Hubby thought there was a little too much orange and ginger...wanted to taste more of the salmon. I thought it was perfect. Thanks for the post....will make again.

Grilled Asian Chicken

Very good. I followed the recipe exactly and the only comment from hubby was " a little too much ginger". I will make again, but reduce the amount just a little to suit our tastes. Thanks for the post.

Microwave Oven Peanut Brittle

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2006
Delicious....and SO EASY. I don't have a candy thermometer...and wanted to make this. So glad that I found this recipe on here. I tried another microwave peanut brittle recipe from this site....but I like this one better. The measurements are just a little different....and it is just too easy. Definately going to use this recipe again. Thanks for the post.

Pork Chops with Soy-Ginger Sauce

This was amazing. The only thing I did differently was to grate the ginger...to get finer pieces. Very easy to prepare and very delicious. Thanks for the post.

Wonton Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2006
Unfortunately we are one of the minority on this one...I don't know what went wrong, but we really just didn't like this that much. I couldn't finish this...and hubby said that it was "ok". I don't think that we will use this again. Thanks for the post, anyway.

Slow Cooker Chicken with Mushroom Wine Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2006
I was a little afraid of this recipe after reading the reviews. I did double the garlic and added a bit more wine than the recipe called for. I tried to thicken the sauce and was a little successful, but not as much as I would like. The only thing I didn't like that although the chicken was very tender, it was a little dried out. I can never understand how something cooked it liquid can dry out...but it did a little. I do think I will use again...thanks for the post.

Garlic Parmesan Orzo

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2006
This got mixed reviews. Hubby is a rice fan, while I prefer pasta. I thought this would be a good compromise. Unfortunately, I was the only one who liked this. Hubby said it tasted too "floury" (is that a word?) My 2 yr. old son and I ate this up....I will definately make again when hubby isn't eating with us. Thanks for the post.

Garlic Wine Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2006
We really liked this....I couldn't use just wine because the flavor would be too strong for my 2 yr. old son....so I used some chicken stock as well. I added some provalone cheese (hubby is a BIG cheese fan) and some green onions for presentation. Delicious, thanks for the post.

Egg Drop Soup II

This was easy and very comparable to a spice packet that I picked up some time ago. I was hoping for just a little more flavor, but was still very good. Thanks for the post.
